The Big East Tournament was held at MSG every year since at least the mid 80's. Uconn and their fans are very familiar with the Garden. Hope this info helps.

It's the site where the Big East plays their conference tournament every year. I wouldn't call it a home game for UConn by any stretch but it will be a more familiar court for UConn than Iowa State. And UConn fans will definitely make the 2.5 hour trip to NYC for this game.

Familiarity with the arena and crowd support are the two main reasons.
I wouldn't read too much into it though, it's not as if the people making the lines aren't aware of this, and if it was going to be a significant factor, the line would already reflect that.
That being said, UCONN did not play in the BE tourney that past two seasons, so only those players that are Jr's or Sr's will have any experience playing there, unless they played a neutral court game or two over the last two seasons, which they very well may have. Biggest reason must be crowd support and shorter travel times.

They played two games this year, and had two close wins vs Boston College and Indiana. I said they MAY HAVE, but since I deem it insignificant anyway, I did not bother to look it up.
The played two games at MSG in 2012-13 too, a loss vs NC State and a loss @ St. Johns.

How isn't it isignificant to what the topic creator is asking? The answer is they have played in the building year in and year out is why they are deemed with an advantage. Nobody said their undefeated in the building but we all know being familiar with an atmosphere and rims is an advantage in the game of basketball.

It's insignificant because EVERYBODY ALREADY KNOWS THAT, and it's already factored into the spread.
Stick to trolling.

Nobody ever said it was some hidden news. Just providing information while correcting your information that simply was false..

Ok after looking into Iowa St's overall record 6 of their 7 losses have come come away from home. Also some of the same teams they beat at home by dd they lost to by dd away from home.
Conlusion is Iowa is not a good team on the road.
Now Uconn had only lost 3 of their games played at home.
I like uconn even more now since this will basically be a home game.
Only that worries me is that Iowa St played in a tougher division all year compared to Uconn in the big east.

Please point out anything false in what I said?
