I tend to follow the precept in life that those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
According to the "Covers League Contests Picks" information on your profile page, you're down an amazing 49,100 units on sides and 11,650 units on total for a combined -60,750 units. Your overall rank for the 2010 season is 24597 of 26357.
By my math, that means you are in the bottom 10% of all cappers.

"JG: At what point during the season did you realize things weren't going to end up like the last few years?
BH: You keep saying it like I've given up on the season. You're talking
about it like the season is over, and I'm not looking at it like that.
JG: OK, then talk about the optimism you still have left?
BH: We have seven games left in the regular season, a diff stretch with
five of those seven on the road. You never quit. You're never going to
give up. I'm hoping we can continue to improve. We had won four of our
last five into Saturday's game, and we lost to the first-place team. A
senior-laden group. We're in a tough point right now, going into the
road swing, but one thing you've seen in the Pac-10 this year, anything
can happen. Anything's possible. I'm not looking right now, I'm not at
a point of reflection, looking back at what's happened. I'm still
looking forward."
I hope so Coach Howland. You've earned a large leash with me, but this season has been atrocious. I think if UCLA loses this game, this is where they should throw this season out and play for next season. That means benching Dragovic and lessening Roll's minutes, more playing of the freshman including Moser and Lane, who have had their asses glued to the bench this season. Would love to have seen one of those two using a redshirt.

Park -- I keep going back and forth on that one. I can really see arguments for both sides. When that happens, I don't want to force a play just to have a play. No real lean tonight on the side.

Let's put it this way -- from a non-matchup analysis on this game, UCLA is the play: revenge, rivalry game catching +7, Howland's record historically with 4+ days to game plan... but from a pure basketball analysis, USC crushed them the first time and there was a reason why -- they play harder defense and are just way, way more athletic.

Thanks toledo, you like a side on this one?

Kapono my initial lean was to take the points or play ML in a rivalry game but just got burned on the UNC game agree similar situation with UCLA not the talent of old and hope they score enough in this really low #. agree with you over 117

I like the play....I have over the last couple of years have had lots of trouble laying cash on any USC total going over.....but I do find this one to be way to low and will also being laying some Units on it.....My prediction is we will see a final total between 128-131.....
Good Luck!!!!!

This 1H line is really, really strange. 53.5 is all? I mean I understand discounting the 1H line a couple of points because of the possibility of late FTs and/or OT, but here we have a deviation of 10.5 points from the predicted total?!
That's gotta be out of the ordinary

pjlvio -- true, USC is the best defensive team in the nation, but look who they piled up that number against -- mostly other crappy Pac-10 teams, UCLA included!
That explains the low number, without a doubt.
shakey -- thanks for the kind words.
