Originally started by BTTROSH but, I have picked it up since he has been working on a new system. UNDERDOGS getting 14.5 pts EXACTLY (COVERS ODDS) have been hitting at an astonishing clip. There have been about 6 since tracking and they have all cashed AND when it is a home dog at 14.5 it is a ML play as two of those hit. Not sure why it is hot but, has been working well. Follow if you like but, don't trash it.
TONIGHT:
E. ILLINOIS OVER MURRAY ST.
Eastern Illinois is 4-2 ATS on the road and Murray is 1-2 at home. Murray St has not had a DD win on a LINED GAME all season. Take the points and cash the ticket!

I will go with it when I place my wager usually around 6:30 PM. So you could say closing line. I base the play on the majority of lines in Covers full odds being 14.5. It has worked like a charm for some reason.

Don't understand the message but, I have followed you and respect your insight!
Thanks Jim - didn't want to be negative, but it is clearly just a fluke that will have a regression to the mean shortly. The huge/important message to take away from threads like these is that we should all be more receptive to receiving points and not so quick to lay them. Look for the reasons and angles why these 14-15 pt teams have covered, the power isn't in the number itself and I would caution anyone from making a bet based solely on the opening or closing number.

I agree and only found this pattern interesting enough to point out. It important to look at that range and find a quality dog. E. ILL is now at 14, does that make it a "no play"? For what I am following yes. but for a worthy bet NO. I will be on it still. I am always looking at DOGS first and I try to stay away from the popular games.

EIU has been a tough road team. Considering they both lost to Austin Peay at home in close games as well as they both won equally convincing games @ jacksonville st. you have to think they are pretty equal teams.
Then I see that Murray lost @Moorehead St. by 10 where EIU beat Moorehead St. at home by 7 in their last game.
Last year Murray beat EIU by 4 and by 9 in both their meetings. I see this game being a 2 possession game.

Wow, that's amazing.. I followed the initial thread bout this till it got buried.. I just dont get how a team favoured to lose by DD at 14 manage a way to win, lol.

This is very interesting. I wonder if anyone can go back and really research this trend more in depth. I can't believe my eyes but this trend has been off the rocker recently.

HAD THIS IN A NEW POST BUT, JUST IN CASE I WILL PUT IT HERE:
Yesterday, I gave a play that was orignally a 14.5 dog as the trend is take any dog that is 14.5 points as it has been winning EXTREMELY consistently AND in some cases outright. I choose the 14.5 from COVER FULL LIVE ODDS. Yesterdays play was EASTERN ILLINOIS which was 14.5 at the time but, dropped to 14. They won outright. The trend has already cashed on the likes of NC GREENSBORO, TENN MARTIN, OAKLAND ETC. You can say well maybe it is all DD dogs but, not the case. You can find value up and down the DD range but, I am pointing out one spread number that has bee RED HOT.
Play WISC GREEN BAY (+14.5) over BUTLER
Some of you will say WOW Butler has been red hot and they are at home. Butler just wants the win not the cover. Wisc Green Bay has covered ALL but one game when they were getting DD or near DD points except for the 2nd game of the season when they lost to MARQUETTE. Included in those covers are @WISCONSIN and neutral site against San DIEGO St.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!
