Could have been a really good day but those last 2 way deep treys by Jared Harper were dead on bullseyes. Ouch! Seemed like he had 32 points not 22. Must have been the weight of those last 2 daggers. Lol
He ended up 7-19, 6-10 from behind the arc.
Duke got sloppy with the ball in the last few minutes and missed enough foul shots to blow the cover (23-34).
I took a shot on the middle of the o/u. It's rare to get a 10 point target like that. Felt the -.3* risk was worth it. Unfortunately neither team shot the ball well, but good defense was being played by both teams. Duke went 24-54, only 7-25 from 3. Auburn went 28-77, 11-32 from 3, 23 more shots than the Blue Devils. Guess that was the 18 offensive rebounds and 13 to's they forced. Auburn only got 9 ft's and made 5. You have to give the Tigers credit, they didn't back down and were scrappy the whole way.

Barrett didn't have a great game (7-20) and missed the open 3 with 21 seconds to go. Zion was so so offensively too (4-8). But both played good defense. I look for both to bounce back with better performances today. I don't think the Zags will be as tenacious defensively as Auburn was with the near pass ball denial. More of a free flowing game. Wouldn't sursprise me if Few plays some zone on defense. 

The Zags are loaded with talent too but I believe Duke is the better defensive team. Zona gave the Zags problems with their pressure D into the 2nd half but eventually wore down. Duke has plenty of depth off the bench. Zags are long and hit the glass well but Duke may be a little quicker around the rim. I think the Devils shoot better today, especially behind the arc.Give me Duke.

Am I missing something? Duke -4.5 where did you get that line?

I went back and looked at a lot of your posts and lines and quite a few are extremely off. If you are buying these down you can't be profiting that much. like 3-4 point line differences

This just in, I was looking at VegasInsider.com and line IN VEGAS opened at -7.

That’s because most offshore books follow the other books once they settle on an opening number 


Lots of people have Duke -3.5, how to do you think it moved to 4, then 4.5, then 6 & now it’s 6.5 & 7


Hint:  it was bet up

Dang, I have some visitors. 

 The opening line was Duke -3.5 as WahooS said.

The very first openers that VI posted today was Duke -4.5. I know because I wrote it down along with a few other games of interest. A bit later they showed Duke opened at -7.5. Now they show Duke opened at -6.5. 

Other first openers VI posted were Auburn -6, Illinois -1.5, Iowa St -3, Wiscy -7. Now they show the opening line on those at Auburn -7, Illinois +1, Iowa St -2.5, Wiscy -8. They do this everyday. 

FYI, on Sunday afternoons when the first CFB openers are posted on VI you can print them out, go back an hour later an their openers have changed. After a couple of hours they move them to the first column for opening line and they could have changed again..Then they usually leave them the same until Sunday night but not always. By Sunday night they most always leave the number the same the rest of the week. VI operates off a consensus homogenized version for their openers. They don't really want you to know what the real deal was.

Go to Pregame, the numbers they show as the opening line are the closest you will find to the originals and they don't move them. 

Pregame has the Duke game opening at -3.5, Iowa St-2, Xavier -1.5, Auburn -6, Wiscy -7. Check it out.

I had 3.5 for about a min..was able to get 4.5 before it shot up to 7..hmmm are they thinking similar outcome as last nights Duke gm an_popcorn

Bigten51 the 1st half line is -4. No real value in it for us. I'd just as soon increase the full game wager and count on Duke in the longer run just in case the Zags get off to fast start, which they are capable of.

I made the line at 4. It went to 7 because the BM is defending himself trying to split the action some.

1* Duke-Zags under 168.5 

I don't see this as being a total racehorse type game.  Both teams are well coached. There is going to be some defense played. Few is going to try and make it a half court game at times knowing Duke's strength is in the open court in an uptempo back and forth game.

Few may play some zone also to cut down on the isolation plays for Barrett and Zion. The zone helps to slow the game down and burn some clock, also keeps his bigs around the basket for rebounding.
