I will say this one time and one time only:

The ONLY( and I mean 100% positively only) reason a  line moves is due to money. THERE IS NO OTHER REASON !!!! Vegas does not move lines just to darn with your mind

If you walked into any book in vegas and explained your theory regarding line movement to them,  they would laugh you out of the building

There is losing and then there is getting your behind beat. They were awful at Kansas. Wyoming is solid but they have also played the 269th toughest schedule out there. They beat nobody before they played Colorado.

Well, everyone has there opinion on why lines move.. and alot of them make sense...

but: i have 2 diffrerent friends that work at 2 different  sportsbooks and i have asked them many times about line movement.

comes down to money. a line is set by these'know it alls' and they are pretty sharp. the line will move according to how much  money is being bet on a number that is set. read all you want in to it..but that is what drives the number either up or down. but who knows..maybe they dont have a clue either!  :) gl ryno

I am not trying to slam you here....i'm merely trying to educate you. I've read some of your past posts. You seem like an intelligent person. However, your theory on line movement is cock-eyed and totally wrong. I can tell you are a newbie at sports betting and I wish you all the luck in the world. You will come to realize eventually that what I am saying is fact. It's not a theory I made up, it's how vegas does business.

It doesn't bother me at all...I just find it fascinating that people cant comprehend this simple aspect.

I work in the entertainment industry and I'm a professional gambler.....being in the entertainment industry I meet a lot of people with strong personalities, opinions and beliefs. I mention this because the entertainment industry is art.....there is no right and wrong answer when it comes to taste. Sports betting is the opposite ...it's all about right(win) or wrong(lose).....if you are a successful gambler, congratulations, you are in the minority. 95% of sports bettors lose  because they fall victim to silly theories such as you put forth.

Vegas doesn't have to screw with lines to beat the bettor......"vegas lets the bettor beat themselves".

Your whole theory is flawed because it's predicated on the fact that vegas knows the outcome of an event....THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHO WILL WIN .....NONE ZILCH ZERO !!
