Cornell has a lot of seniors (8 I think) going against the youngest team in the tourney. Cornell has length, and can rain the 3 ball from anywhere as well. Plus, they're smart and well coached. Certainly have a good shot, though they aren't as athletic or filled with NBA talent like UK

Oh I agree, Cornell is going to have to shoot VERY well to stay in
But Cornell has had really only two games like that this year (1 being that one against Cuse). . . UK even though they won all but two, have had a lot of ugly wins this year and been more inconsistent IMO
I do feel I know what I will get with Cornell if I put my money on them, I feel less like that about UK due to their inconsistencies during the season and their youth. I haven't decided one way or the other really, just saying I don't think UK rolling through this one is a slam dunk

Seems like a game you could feel stupid betting either side.
On one hand, you just played the young, talented team against a fiesty little team who is much more experienced "smarter"...and your inconsistent bunch didn't come to play and let them take it to the wire. You feel like an idiot for siding with them.
Or, you bet the scrappy bunch who has a significant talent disadvantage, and the team loaded with future NBA lottery picks brings their A game...and it's over in the first 10 minutes. You have to watch an absolute beating and know your bet is crushed.
Just gotta hate betting a game when the single biggest factor is whether or not Kentucky really comes to play...

YES the game is practically at home for Cornell...CU has visited the CARRIER DOME atleast the last 3 years, including this year. I am thinkin that there could be close to as much BLUE as RED come thurs night filling up the seats..UK basketball is well supported,,,ALL OVER the place,,,I imagein you we will have ALL the WEST VA and Washington fans (how many make the trip?) pulling for Cornell as well as all the LOCALS who got tickets. so as it may look like mixed red and blue....vocally CU will be heavily backed in this game......The further the game gets,,the longer cornell makes it a game,,,the louder it will get!!
AS far as I can tell,,The Size in the front court is pretty close to even. Foote is taller and actually weighs more than Cousins (although it doesnt seem like it.) Patterson (6'9") is taller than both Jaques and Wittman (6'7") but 7'0 and 2 - 6'7" 's isnt exactly a small frontcourt. Kentucky has a bigger backcourt, Wall is 6'4" and averages 35 mpg. both Wroblewski and Dale are 6'0" and play nearly 30 mpg,,thats means they are on the court together A LOT! cornell does have a guard in Geoff Reeves who is 6'4 but only plays about 18 mpg. this looks like a matchup problem to me..who is gonna contain WALL??? Id expect Cornell to mix up Defenses.
Kentucky will be pretty well rested with 2 blow outs in the first 2 rounds,,,,Kentucky fans shouldn't be overly pumped about the beat down of WAKE,,,,Aminu had 3 fouls half way through the first and it was game over,,,,WF could NOT score without him in teh line-up......Cornell will pose a little more of a threat,,,If FOOTE gets in foul trouble,,,they will be able to survive on offense without him even though they function better with him. If Foote does get in foul trouble,,Cornell's biggest weakness becomes defense and def. reb......losein your Anchor of your defense for an extended period of time can spell disaster!
Kansas and KENTUCKY were supposed to be the teams that couldn't lose...Kansas is gone! Missouri valley conf team picked em off. Cornell had a lead on Kansas IN Kansas under the 4 minute mark in the 2nd. They lost by 5, the only other team to come within 10 points of KU at home was BAYLOR lost by 6. So why not an IVY league team over KENTUCKY?
Dont believe that CORNELL is a 12 seed and playing cinderella. This team was ranked top 25 and after one game they team didnt show up for (loss @ Penn) followed by 9 WINS...they fell too near 100 in the power rankings,,Big east teams were losing 3-4 games in that stretch and going up?? how did that fair for them? Cornell then dissmantled 2 of the best Defenses in the Tournament put up 30 more points then Wisc. gives up a game on avg. This team was more like a 5 seed.
As far as NBA talent is concerned,,,WALL, COUSINS yeahhhhhhh...kentucky has LOTTERY NBA talent......... but cornell has 2 guys who you might see on DRAFT night,,,,Jeff FOOTE..7 ft 265, huge wingspan,,,has come a long way in 4 years,,,Ryan Witman ,,tall enough for the nba, and shoots like he plays in the nba.
AS far as I can tell It looks like WE got a pretty good game on our HANDS!! CORNELL +450

WV wasnt +120 to win the region for no reason
SO WV has every bit of talent to beat WV and is better overall imo

Love to see Cornell pull the upset but they haven't got a snowballs chance in hell to win the game. Lay the points and cash.
Predicted score: Kentucky 85......Cornell 70
