I expect W&M to show up for this one and bounce back
from the tough home loss. Elon has
struggled to close out games and I don’t have enough guts to consider them
unless it was at +4 or higher.
W&M -2
That being said however, you can’t underestimate this Elon
team on their Senior Day.
Elon lost by 22 @ W&M the last time these teams
met. The game was closer than the final
score indicates. Elon went cold and
W&M shot the lights out going 14/28 from 3 and 22/37 from 2.
Elon is a young team that lost one of their best players
last year (Elijah Bryant transferred to BYU) and any size they did have when center
Tony Sabato went down with a season ending injury in late December. They are not winning any rebounding battles
and they don’t force a ton of turnovers, but they have managed to beat a few decent
conference opponents and stay in games that on paper should not have be close.
Here are a few games to look at:
1/9/15 Hofstra 80 @ Elon
Line: Hofstra -3
Hofstra 80
Elon 76
1/28/15 Elon
@ Hofstra
Line: Hofstra -11.5
Elon 64
Hofstra 66
1/30/15 Elon @ Northeastern
Line NE -5.5
NOTE: Quincy Ford did not play
for NE this game
Elon 71
Northeastern 67
2/11/15 Elon @ UNCW
Line UNCW -11.5
Elon 82
UNCW 86
