LSU -15.5

LSU best defense in the game(Alabama is equal) coming in against the second string QB, not happening give me -21 i'd take it. they are fierce. take it to the bank

Honestly, last time I looked the spread was 2.5 in favor of South Carolina. I take that in a heartbeat. Yes they played Kentucky last week but man they looked great, beating them by 51. LSU beat them by 28. I love the new QB who will find one of the best receivers in college football and throw it his way. Love the bet, this one should be a one sided affair, BOL.

Vols will hang around in this game.  Wouldn't be surprised to see them leading at half-time.

First, with Tenn not having Bray is huge. BUT, Simms isn't horrible, he isn't great, but not horrible. He started half the year last year and he is a senior that has some experience. He basically beat LSU last year. Granted, LSU turned the ball over a ton and tried every way possible to lose. 

Here are some stats to think about:

Tennessee leads the series 20-8-3 all time. 
2010 - LSU - 16-14
2007 - LSU - 21-14
2006 - LSU - 28-24
2005 - TENN - 30-27 OT
2001 - LSU - 26-18 and LSU 31-20 SEC Championship
2000 - LSU - 38-31 OT

Regardless of how good each team is or isn't this seems to be always a fairly close game. Not sure what to think about it this year but I will be there cheering on my Vols!

Lost by 8 to Georgia at home only 290 yards with 0 turnovers. If Georgia's defense did that to them im scared to see what LSU brings to the table. 3+ turnovers is inevitable with the D. I'm sensing a blowout..

I am with you... Bama, LSU, Stanford seem like the easiest plays... not all can cover but damn these teams are killing it this year... Ride em out.. Kinda like the Detroit Lions lol

I disagree.  Now is the perfect time to start really fading some of these teams with unblemished ATS records.

I'm in the mode of: bet that squad that has a reason to grind the other team. ie, LSU wants that national championship game, they have to keep pounding these SEC foes into the ground, same with Boise and Oklahoma, the big dogs know they have to stand out just a little bit more at the top, cause there isn't a lot of room to be average, love LSU here

Last year: lost 41-14 to Georgia. Lost 31-17 to Florida. Lost 48-13 to Oregon. Lost 41-10 to Alabama. 

Lost 16-14 to LSU. It doesn't always work like that. 

I was previously going to lay off, but the more people who tell me this is a lock, the more I think about putting a little bit on my Vols. 

As OhWilson pointed out, this series tends to defy logic. Of those seven games he listed, three included the underdog playing a backup QB. Those underdogs with backup QBs were 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS. Like I said, defies logic. Either way, I'll be with Wilson in Neyland cheering on the VOLS!

and also, you can compare previous games my dude, you cant compare previous seasons? lol its a whole new team playing that makes no sense to compare seasons. thats like saying since oklahoma lost to missouri last year they shouldve this year? no that is a joke get out of here with that. I can compare there latest performance to this weeks game to have to best chance of winning. that's how sports bookies make there odds, by how the team did last week? what are you talking about lol

Actually, I find last week to be a fairly poor indicator of this week. I cited last season to make the point that performance can vary drastically from week to week. Well, that and the LSU/Tennessee history, which makes no sense to me, but things that make no sense to me keep happening. I'm hoping it happens again.

Why not? It's inflated because of LSU's success this season and Tennessee's injury situation. That's not difficult to predict.
