seems like there is a lot of bama love on this site against LSU this week, i'm trying to figure out why... a few facts on this game:
- death valley Saturday nite, did we not learn anything from the Ole Miss game? LSU isn't going to lay down to anyone at home. - Bama has been terrible ATS lately 2-9 last 11 - LSU has been solid against the spread lately 7-3 last 10 - Simms 0-3 ATS on the road this year
Lots of love for Bama on cover, why?

LSU can't run against this Bama defense. And Bama has LSU's # since the GOTC #2.... Bama wins but close... Under is the best bet cause I can see LSU in single digits... 17-9 Bama

The Tide don't lose in Baton Rouge......

This is not the same Lsu team as the ones of the past, one dimensional offense will not work vs Alabama, it did work vs Ole Miss but Miss was one or 2 dropped passes away from going up a couple scores which would turn that game into a totally different type of game. Alabama will score on this defense and force LSU to play catch up all game long and they just don't have the weapons to score enough.

But LSU was one dropped INT from shutting Ole Miss Out..

Alabama is a better team than Ole Miss.. Yes I know Bama lost to Ole Miss, but Bo had the best game of his terrible career.. And Bama lost 2 very key players in that game...
Bama and LSU know each other... LSU will not come out with some tricky game plan, they didn't against Ole Miss... They turned it over 4 times to Ole Miss and still won the game.. The Ole Miss offense was awful and the Bama offense is not...

The bama offense is averaging 21 ppg in its road games. they are fully capable of laying an egg against LSU. They are going to come into death valley with a conservative gameplan.

I just don't see it being close! LSU played excellent last week...but on the other hand Bama has a chip on they're shoulder. They have been playing out they're minds lately, every since that Tennessee game where they won by 1 point an the media and some bama fans bashed them... and was disappointed at the fact they only won by 1...has fueled them major,Trust me!!!!!! I took bama -6 and over 45

Good points, chad77. This will be old fashioned ground and pound SEC football. Bama just has too much talent on both sides of the ball. This will be a low scoring affair with the crowd being a factor (night game in 'deaf valley').
Not sold on Bama -6
14-10 Bama

. Did u see how many opportunities LSU had against Ole Miss and let them get way? That score shouldve been more like 21-7...Abizzo,I don't get it either.LSU is playing as good as anybody in the country .Bama was so darn lucky to win that game 2years ago in BatonRouge. That was only the second time I thought "Well,AJ isn't bad after all....I got to get thses soccer plays in by high noon...Peace

LSU might win the game SU. Catching 6 is just a bonus. Especially considering Alabama's best win is a week 1 win over WVU, where the refs basically gave them the game, they're 0-3 ATS on the road, & they have the number 1 ranked team in the country at home next week. Les Miles can cover 6 here. Also like the under.

I agree Saban will play this game close to the vest and will not "force" anything.. I think the UNDER is the best play.. But I also think Saban will not want this to be a 1 score game going into the 4th Q... And LSU thinking their CB is good enough to cover Amari Cooper 1 on 1 will be the difference.. Cooper will go off in this game because it's the only team he hasn't played much against... He was hurt or limited in both his games against them the last 2 years... So they see that he's great, they just don't understand how Elite he is...
Also, the Bama defense is getting muuuuuch better every week.. Had a lot of young players out there in the beginning that had to play their way into SEC speed... But now Bama has 2 solid corners and 2 solid MLBers... LSU defense is also muuuuuch better than the start of the season, but their much younger than the Bama D and will not recognize plays as quick as Bama does.. And Lane Kiffin has been doing a really good job with Sims at QB.. I don't blame anybody for not laying this chalk.. Cause I hope to see a really good game like the normal Bama / LSU games have been the last 7 years... I just think Bama is 2 scores better right now.. Jmo...

You do realize that LSU turned it over 4 times. LSU should have been up 21-0 in the first quarter. The turnovers were the ONLY reason Ole Miss was even in the game

Also, Bama has been TERRIBLE on the road this season. Bama will try and stretch the field as they have done all year by throwing it wide to Cooper. LSU has a lot more speed that people think. Since Beckwith has made the start at MLB, LSU has been sick on defense. His play has mattered that much. We stuff the run, and stop Cooper from the big play, LSU wins in a low scoring close game Sims will struggle....especially in Death Valley. He has been terrible on the road, and the fans will definitely be in his head. Most people here not realizing how improved LSU has become since the Auburn game.

I've already taken LSU on the points, and straight up. Sims isn't the same QB as an AJ McCarron or McElroy. He will buckle just like Bo "no class" Wallace
