Bama ground game not the same dominating, wear you down weapon from years past.... Cam Robinson is playing, but recovering from a surgical procedure for a high ankle sprain.. and I am assuming, that this will effect him in some manner, as ordinary drive run blocking, as well as his initial quick step to slow down and protect Sims from the LSU outside pass rush... I expect LSU to try to exploit him, TJ Yeldon, also battling a foot injury, and with Drake out for the season, there is a huge drop off IMO with Henry, and Fowler
The key to beating Bama, is stopping Cooper, or at least keeping his receptions from turning into big scoring plays... 15 players for Bama has receptions this season, and Cooper has almost more receptions than all of the other 14 players combined... LSU corners played physical, and played man coverage against Treadwell for Ole Miss, allowing him only 4 receptions, so if they can be as successful against Cooper, and confuse Sims with rolling the safeties into doubling Cooper, then Bama's pass game is over 50% contained...
Home Sims, has been much better than road Sims... It seems getting the play in and called has been a struggle all season, and with the noise at Death Valley at night, should be even more of a challenge, especially at trying to audible at the line... This has lead to several mistakes with alignment procedures and penalties throughout the season... Also the key to forcing Sims into mistakes, is pressuring him and getting him out of the pocket... He has shown to not be very accurate, when pressured and throwing on the run, plus it forces him into bad decisions...
This game to me just looks like a hard nose, smash mouth game, where each team fights to control field position... and one that I will be watching without any money on the line....

Bama was built to beat teams like this that just line up and run the ball at you. They are bigger and have more depth than LSU. I don't see how LSU manages to score many points unless they switch their gameplan up a little bit and air it out more. Bama on the other side though has a banged up offensive line and I think will struggle at times throughout the game. I wouldn't be shocked at the outcome either way in this game from an ATS standpoint but my lean would be towards Bama.
