Bama would be favored solely based on being the SEC Champion. But I think if any year Oregon could actually win the title game it would be this year I don't feel Alabama doesn't have to dline to disrupt Oregon run game or the DB's that can run with the UO Wr's

I can guarantee you that Alabama would not be favored by more than 3... and it would be bet down by gametime... closing line would be somewhere between Oregon (-1) and Bama (-2.5)... assuming both teams are healthy...

After watching the UO/UW game again...........I would agree with bama -2 or -3.
Oregon is tough to defend but their D is susceptible to being ran on..........very beatable if you don't give them anything cheap.
yes, last years Bama OLine would have pushed them around and ran all over them, this years OLine isn't quite as good and Mariota can throw the rock around a bit, I would still think Bama would have the advantage in a National Championship game because of the long layoff and time to prepare against the Ducks
if the game were played this week with normal prep time and the current state of the Bama offense I would be more inclined to take the Ducks
week to week with that offense the Ducks are the best team, with a long layoff and rusty offenses I would take the Tide, having a long period of time to prepare for the Ducks is a huge advantage
I think the reason Oregon lost to Auburn was not being able to throw at all, with Mariota they are a whole different animal, this is a legit squad now that can play with probably anyone, they have built an unreal program in the Pacific Northwest, quite amazing
you expect that from the teams in the SEC with recruiting and football being a way of life, it is much more impressive when Oregon does it

Thomas actually shredded Auburns d but they couldn't run it at all..... or stop the run. I agree Mariota is a complete qb & UO has play makers all over the field. They have momentum with recruiting & it's hard to stop.......they'll be good for years to come.

Alabama would beat Oregon by double digits. Oregon's defense has some quickness, but they're very undersized and would get mauled by the Bama OL. Yeldon and company would rip off large chunks everytime. And Oregon wouldn't have faced a QB anywhere near the quality of McCarron. He would abuse their LB's and secondary in the play action game.
Bama's DL would also cause problems for Oregon's OL, who are also undersized for their positions. Oregon's game is all finesse and timing based, so Bama neutralizes that with their own speed and far more physical play. This is the same way other prior SEC teams have handled Oregon.
It would be the same song and dance for the school of Donald Duck. Bunch of hype and flash, but no substance. Smash them in the mouth and disrupt their timing schemes and they fold like a wet blanket. For all the hype they've gotten over the past 10+ years, where are their national championships? Nowhere. They always lose the 'big' games, an annual fraud.
