The NCAAF poll and the BCS is a joke. I really have no problem with the current standings, except for this.... Now understand I am a little bit bias b/c Im a Georgia fan, but someone please explain to me how when #3 UGA lost to #8 Alabama 2 weeks ago UGA moved to #13 and after al of the upsets this weekend they barely move to number #10 and USC loses when they were #1 to an unranked Oregon St and never left the top 10 and now are back at #6....What in the hell is the big deal about USC and why do the voters have such a hard on for Pete Carroll and the Trojans....their not that GOOD

. . . and BYU should never be ranked ahead of any of the ranked SEC teams.  They'd lose by 3 TDs to any of them!!!

BCS = Bunch of Cock Suckers

ND will be in top 10 by the end of the year.  They want a BCS crasher to have a good story to write about, so some stupid non BCS school has to be voted in for a BCS game.  THey will probably lose by 30 points to whoever they play because Boise St was 1 in a million.

Please explain to me this.  How is Bama ranked no.2? Bama would lose to all the top 5 teams on a neutral field.  I understand they beat UGA, I get that, but who else have they beaten to warrant the no.2 spot? They beat a Clemson team that these so clever writers decided to put in the top 10 in the pre season.

BCS is a fucking joke.  All of these  non BCS schools that are in the top 25 right now (BYU, Utah, Boise St, Ball st) put them on a neutral field vs anyone in the top 25 and they lose by 14-21 points.  Ball st is in the top 25, thats all you need to know about this fucking joke of a system they have made.

First off...Georgia got Mollywhopped by Alabama at home. Hell yeh they were going to drop out of the top 10 for that. Then they played a terrible Tennessee team at home and couldnt score any damn TDs. 26-14 isnt going to impress many voters. You had to move Florida way up because of the beatdown they gave LSU (who never was a top 5 team to begin with) and OK St, Texas Tech, BYU are all stil unbeaten.USC has just been doing what any 1 loss team should do, pound inferior opponents and wait for the teams ahead of them to beat each other and move up. I do think that Florida shouldnt have jumped ahead of both BYU and USC (especially when they lost to an unranked team AT HOME) but when they hung 50 points on a LSU defense and that speaks volumes.

Florida did to LSU what no other team has done in awhile, kicked the shit out of them. I must admit, they caught us in a bad year, but they took care of business when the opportunity arousee. With that said, Florida should be ranked ahead of USC. Both teams lost to an unranked team, both beat a top 5 team, but only one will be playing more ranked teams, and that is Florida.

WTF, by next week, USC will be back in the top 5, and no one on that soft schedule they have, is going to knocked them out. And if they do, they'll still be in the top 15, so sad.

Oklahoma lost to a top 5 team in Texas, so they only drop to # 4??? Sorry, back of the line buddy. Everyone knows how it works by now. You lose early, and make your way back into the top 5 at the in of the season, unless you're USC, of course.

Where is Tulsa??? Last time I checked, they're undefeated. Let's award them with a top 25 ranking. If Auburn can remain in the top 25 with 2 lose, why can't an undefeated team be in it?

    BCS, joke system

I am a Florida fan and I agree, they shouldnt have moved up as far as they did with a loss to Ole Miss, and LSU was ranked as high as they were because of 1) they were undefeated, and 2) they are the defending NC's, and 3) they had a lot of key losses by teams early in the season. I think the LSU/UGA game and the UF/UGA game will speak volumes for the SEC east. Hard to say who would beat who when and where, lets play out the season and see.

Who cares if teams like Ball State are ranked?  It makes college football more fun and exciting.  Who doesn't like to see a "little guy" go up against a perennial powerhouse and win?  It has happened before.  It is just like in college basketball... the field of 64 is not the best 64 teams... but the teams that are in earned their way!  Who would have thought Davidson would knock off Georgetown and Wisconsin etc.... who would have thought San Diego State would knock off UConn?  As long as the top tier teams are getting into the major bowls... who cares about a few teams squeaking in?

USC is much better then Georgia

UGA has lost 9 different starters at different times during this season.  UGA will continue to struggle through the year.

UGA played Bama without Owens, Sturdivant, Southerland, Battle, and Tripp all starters entering the season.  Chandler went out right after half-time I believe and Ellerbe was gone in the first quarter.  We played a good part of that game without 7 starters or about 32% we were struggling to replace with younger less experienced kids.  Bama's strngth on OL and DL played perfect against UGA's weakness from so many injuries since 4 of those starters were on the LOS.

UGA played Arizona State with only 4 of 9 starters on BOTH sides of the Line of Scrimmage and we still beat them almost as bad on teh road against a healthy Rudy Carpenter copared to USC's so-so showing at home while USC is far more healthy than UGA.

USC was down 21-0 at half to Oregon State.  I forget, where is Oregon State ranked?

USC is over-rated.  They are not nearly as good as everyone wishes to believe.  They are an extremely talented team, but they are also very beatable.

UGA healthy is easily a top 5 team.

There are 3 true freshman playing OL for the ranked teams in the country.  Ohio State has one and UGA has TWO.

There are 9 redshirt freshmen playing OL for ranked teams in the country, and UGA had 1 of those this past weekend and we may be adding another to that list this coming weekend.

If UGA were completely healthy, I wouldn't be afraid to take them in a bet straight-up against any team in the country, period.

As it is, I don't know that UGA is top 10 right now, but I think we are definitely still top 20.

How many other teams in the country have the depth to still be ranked top 10 in a poll and has had to have played the last 4 games missing 25-30% of the starters in each game.

Oklahoma fans were whining that losing their LB hurt them so much.  Please, try playing a team without both your starting DEs, your starting DT, your starting MLB, and both back-up safeties (leaving us with a walk-on safety that was in the game 25 or so plays).  IF one players makes that much of a difference, you damn sure don't belong in the top 10.

I said on a USC board before UGA played Alabama that the innuries to UGA's OL and DL would hurt badly against Bama.  Bama was big and ohysical and they could take advantage of something that Arizona State was completely unable to expose.

LSU will be equally tough for UGA.  UF will not bring the same problems.  UF uses a finessee blocking scheme, and LSU will simply smash our young OL in the face and hammer our young DL (when they are in the game, about half the game) with their big OL.  UGA has to get a lot better to handle the LOS against LSU right now.  We can match-up with UF, but LSU in Baton Rouge will be tough and their strengths play right to our injury weaknesses right now just like Bama.  I would be worried about Auburn, but I think they might have given-up this season.

LMFAO @ USC will crush Bama, UGA, Fla. or LSU for that matter! USC fans are fucking fools if they really think a USC offense can outrun a SEC defense hahahahahaha...USC is not use to the speed of the SEC...I'm not saying that USC is slow they are fast also..just not as fast as teams above! USC beat up on a weak PAC-10 year after year and all they get is nut clinging fans..WTF? Damn, NCAA really should move USC to the Big 12 so they could have the same competition (Tex, Okla, Mizz, hell even fucking Kansas) to play to!

Its like this, if UGA is playing without a lot of their starters and they are not as good as they "should be" because of it, then don't bitch about the rankings....

Yeah, a healthy team woulda, shoulda, coulda done this...but they are not...so therefore they don't get special attention because of it.

I don't care if they put 22 true freshman walkons on the field against Alabama, they got made to look inferior to another team in their conference. No way anyone can honestly say UGA looked like the 2nd best team in the SEC (given ALA is 1st) after getting drubbed like that at home...so a significant drop in the polls was deserving, and getting passed by teams like okst, and fla is warranted being their perfomances over the weekend.

Mark my words: USC Trojans will win their bowl game against whomever they play. Big 12, SEC it doesn't matter. Pete Carroll's record in bowl games speaks for itself. They win in bowl games; that's what they do. And don't be surprised to see them in the championship game, and of course they will win. But I do agree with you the polls are bs including the bcs. A playoff is needed.

I'm not making any excuses.  I'm perfectly happy to be in the top 10 considering all the circumstances.

Point out one team with even close to the injuries UGA has right now to its starting line-up in the top 20.  Maybe 2-3 teams in the country could suffer our injuries this season and still be where we are right now.  That is pretty damn good if you ask me.

I'm quite proud the team has held together and is managing to hang around the top 10.

Some moron thinks that UGA losing to #2 Bama 31-0 at half seems to make us worse than USC losing 21-0 to a team that is STILL unranked and sucks.

In a couple years, a healthy UGA will have a junior and senior OL and DL and it won't matter who the QB or RB (though we have very good ones on the bench right now) is, we will win our games.

I would like to see Florida against USC for the crystal ball.

Florida would own USC in the championship game.
