Arnold is Def bad. You nailed that one. Averages 156 Yards a game, a wounded duck for a spiral. INT and sack machine. IDK what you see, but goooooooooooooood luck.

Oklahoma tends to play to the level of their opponent. I'm on OU+7 even though I don't have much faith but there's also the home team at night advantage.

Have yall watched OU this year?
the offense didn’t really look great against temple despite the final score, but I’ll give credit there to the defense for +6 turnover margin.
Houston is not good. No further comment needed.
Tulane is not terrible but they have a true freshman QB and a weak d-line. K State ran the ball way easier on Tulane at yulman than the Sooners did at home.And I am not sold on Arnold.
Tennessee is no 2019 LSU but they are explosive and look like they could be special on defense also. I wouldn’t wager on OU even at +7.5.

One of the best college football games this weekend is Tennessee at Oklahoma, a game filled with subplots.
In 2000, QB Josh Heupel led Oklahoma to a national title; Sooners haven’t won a national title since then. Heupel is now Tennessee’s coach.
In 2011, Heupel became Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator, and over the next four years, the Sooners averaged 475 yards per game, but they fired him after a 40-6 bowl loss to Clemson. It was a controversial dismissal; firing alums can be frowned upon.
Saturday, Heupel will be back in Norman for the first time since they fired him; his Vols are 3-0, winning 51-10/71-0 in their two games vs I-A opponents.
As if all that isn’t enough, this is also Oklahoma’s first conference game since joining the SEC. Sooners are also 3-0, giving up a total of 34 points in the three games.
Should be interesting. Compliments of Armadillo Sports. Food for thought or noise?

@UTVol1
Who has TN played? That isn't a worthwhile argument. They have played 2 of the worst teams in football. Not saying TN won't cover, but their schedule hasn't been remotely tough

@KarmaStateU2024
NCST is not one of the worst teams in football. They may be an early season disappointment but to say one of the worst in the country shows how low your football IQ is.

Sorry, I really like your plays most of the time, but as a stat/data lover, I don't think crowd noise and what you think the defense will do the WHOLE GAME is enough when you look at these facts. Also, they can ground and pound like no other team I have seen yet...... Oklahoma's defense will be on the field a lot
Oklahoma will have trouble hanging with Vols. Look at the OFFENSIVE STATS for Sooners:
Offense
Season Stats Rank
Total Yards 325.3 107
Passing Yards 166.3 113
Rushing Yards 159.0 66
Points Scored 33.7 48
Turnovers 2 33
VOLS Defense: - they are big and fast/swarm to the ball

Rushing Yards 55.7 3

@Last2thirst
appreciate the numbers but…
Cant just go off stats …especially just after 3 games!!! Watching tape & listening to players/ coaches speaks are the BEST source of info imo.

Always look for your picks bags but I'm actually large on the other side on this one. OU and their new coach are gonna find things tough in the SEC and Tennessee is a well oiled machine at this point, OU certainly is not. They struggled with rebuilding Houston team who got dominated by UNLV.
This a buzz saw game for Venables and i think the Vols put up 30+ and win handily

Gl bags. I'm on the first h under. Can't see UTenn O firing out of the gate in that environment, and I think the D will hold their own with that big front 4.
Fill em'!
