If ure trying to tell me that Petrino is in the same class as Saban than you must be a homer. Sabans got national titles, Petrino has done nothing. We still think that winning national titles is the goal right. I can see maybe winning one on talent alone but when u have two id have to say your elite. No
I'm certainly not a homer I am unemotional about betting $. The highlighted part above is where your reasoning is faulty. You can't give any proof or insight to why Petrino is not in the same class as Saban other than that Saban has national titles. The latter part of your statement really discredits anything you say also and I hope thats self explanatory. Do some research and see what Petrino has done.
I dont think that saying he won a title on talent is even an argument, it takes a great coach to win a national title, but theres only one coach that can do that in a year and for that reason I think that saying that Petrino isnt an elite college coach because he hasnt done that is bad reasoning.

Are you telling me most teams in the SEC don't have at least one NFL talent on their team?
Ok now you are saying " most " and "at least one " thats not what you said earlier , you said Arkansas is loaded with talent, NFL TALENT, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER SEC TEAM
As far as upsetting us Bama fans, don't worry about that bro. I said earlier in the year how hard it would be for Bama to repeat, and almost impossible to go through conference play without a loss. I actually was most concerned with Florida, but from what I have seen of them, and how inconsistent they have been, the Gamecocks probably pose the bigger threat. I don't let me being a fan influence my bets. Infact I only bet on Bama 4 times all of last season. VT, SEC Championship Game, National Championship Game, and one other in regular season. Me being a Bama fan has absolutely nothing to do with seeing a huge value in Bama - 7. Thats all it boils down to.

DL and LB's: Arkansas, don't believe it, arkansas has 12 sacks this year. Alabama and Ark have both played two cupcakes and a decent team.Alabama has two, in fact they are for 109th in the nation in sacks. Fact: Only four of 120 major college football teams rank lower.
DB's: Even
RB's: Alabama, not even close.
Dispute anything I posted but it's all true. Not with all that said are you guys still predicting Alabama covers easily? I think a lot of you guys are looking at names and reputation rather than the actual team.

Ok let's breakdown positions
QB: Arkansas
WR's: Arkansas, Alabama is not even close
TE's: Arkansas, Alabama is not even close

Then you weren't one of the ones that told me to stop warning people about taking Bama -12 against Auburn last year?

Prospecta I got nothing but love for you man hope youll be in Fayetteville making eardrumbs pop with me.
I do say that since we are "homers" our oppinions are easy to attack and I would take the "its not even close" off of the WRs and put it on the OL section. Our OL isnt great and their WRs are very good. I do think we have the better WRs but it is closer than "not even close".

See, just like I dont try dental work because I am not a dentist, I dont have the balls to try to make my own line. The people that do often miss the spots and then get their asses handed to them. Is that what happens to you? I dont know, but I am just speaking from seeing it happen.
Shit, I would love to see Arky win this game, but I dont give a shit. I just dont see Bama being 7 points better than them in this spot. Could I lose? Yeah, none of us are perfect, but playing spots like this is how I have been profitable for years and playing the reverse of these spots is how I have seen people go broke.
GL man. I think we have gone back and forth enough on this one.
I just refuse to call a game as over before it kicks.
you should try it, thats why its called handicapping. and yes, i have gotten my ass handed to me before, im not afraid to admit it. but i have gotten better at my numbers because of it. its a process, far from exact, always a work in progress. thats what makes it fun for me.
and no, you didnt answer my question as to how you think arkansas will stop alabama. you havent supported your play other than tell me that arkansas is a home dog in a big game on national television. so far, that is all the reasoning you have given me as to why your playing the hogs. and thats fine, but id like to see something that actually supports how arkansas will stay within the number, other than "bama's d is overrated"

you can try to make yourself believe that arkansas has an advantage on defense all you want, but you know it isnt true. i dont care how many sacks arkansas had against tennessee tech. if the game is on the line in the 4th quarter and bama has the ball, you'll be closing your eyes and praying that your defense can stop somebody.
and the fact that you dont think bama's WR's are even close to arkansas is proof enough that you are way too much of a homer to look at this game without bias.

I only bet them 4 times, don't remember the other time, would have to go back and look it up. Alot of people on here will tell you that. You are probably thinking about our argument leading up to the VT game and Florida games.

Whoa, my man, thats called handicapping for you. I dont think thats handicapping at all. Thats crunching #s. I hardly call that handicapping, but its the way you approach things and I respect that. Just like I am sure you can respect that I approach things completely different than you.
About that second paragraph, that isnt enough? I think those reasons are fine enough alone. But, everyone thinks there is this huge talent gap, which there is not, so I have that to my advantage. Perception v. reality is really playing into my decision a lot.
I think both offenses are clearly ahead of the defenses here. With that said, I will take the team with all the intangibles in their favor.
Jesus, after educating an entire forum last week on spots/situations I cant believe I am here doing it again. I hear all your arguments about every team I bet against week in and week out. I still come out on top.I let the results speak for themselves.

Mr. Diamond you are also biased, I think everyone is biased one way or the other thats why the make the bets they do. How you get to your bias is what is important if you just think Arkansas is going to win because you are a fan that is a poor reason to be biased IMO.
I dont know if you saw the Georgia Arkansas game but the situation about the 4th quarter with the game being on the line came up in that game and Bequette took the Georgia QBs helmet off on a big 3rd down play. Obv Georgia isnt Alabama especially in the QB department but I think your underestimating the D. Starting with the Florida game last year our D has played very well.

Bud i get it, u love your coach but dont tell me to do research, Beating Boise St in a bowl doesnt mean much my friend, winning a CONF USA and BIG EAST title isnt saying much bud. Look at the resume in big games then come talk to me about how great this guy is. Petrinos a great system recruiter thats about it. Enough with this already. You love your team and your coach, good for u.

Literally your best argument yet. In the post right before this you say not to tell you to do research but I know you went and did research. Then you say winning a bowl game against Boise St. and winning two titles in two different conferences isnt a big deal??? Again, so what is a big deal then? Sounds like only winning a national championship is enough to be a great coach in your mind.
Then after naming those big wins say he can't win a big game? I remember a big game Bama had against Utah so again using your unbelievable logic it sounds like Petrino is actually a better coach.
Is this a joke or are you serious? Im really starting to thing this is a prank. If not you really dont get it.

Oh and yes I do think Petrino is a great coach but its not because he is the coach of Arkansas. I thought Houston Nutt was a terrible coach after watching two games so please. I think Petrino is a good coach because I watch the game and think logically and critically about things.

How is comparing last year's Bama's team to this year's relevant at all?
What does any of this matter to anyone? It's words and numbers in the end. People are here for the same reason and to have themselves heard. Plus people place bets off of various information. In my opinion if the people on the field are healthy throughout then to me Arkansas does not have a chance to cover this at all. the numbers are relatively the same dating back two years and the players are pretty much the same if not better than the ones who departed.

I forgot the 7+ defensive players Bama had last year that are now playing on Sundays is somehow relevant to this year's Bama's team..

With all due respect, Petrino can't win conference titles a conference in which he doesn't coach. Petrino is a very accomplished college coach, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Would I trade him for Saban? Not on your life, but that does not in anyway take away what Petrino has accomplished. This guy had Louisville in the national championship conversation for several years . . . at Louisville for God's sake!!! Where has Louisville been since he left? How many times has Louisville been considered a national title contender since he left? When Petrino was at Louisville, they were the Boise State of college football.

yea thats true, I think Charlie Strong will do great for that program and hell, he has already started to. They are competing with teams they should not early in the year
