Too bad bama will be playing Houston in the sugar bowl. Oregon will jump bama because they get an extra game, while bama sits at home twiddling their thumbs. National media will rank lsu Oregon 1 & 2 after their respective championship games, simply because the writers don't want to see that rematch. West and east coast writers and coaches will vote according to the extra game. Mid west writers and coaches same thing. Oregon in the title game, with luck and Stanford in the rose bowl. Better luck next year, and recruit a kicker in February.

But bama fans you guys could be right. I know I dont want to play a rematch with bama. Would rather Oregon, that's what I am hoping for any way. I figure the odds to be split if every one wins out. LSU has the toughest road to the NC game. I hate Arkansas, always a tough game for us. And then probably Georgia, playing lights out since the Florida game. I just don't see the AP and the coaches putting bama in that number 2 spot, simply because of the dominance and arrogance (even though we gave every right to be) of the SEC.
We shall see.

Good morning teacher.
Don't look for Alabama in the Sugar Bowl playing Houston. About that kicker, Alabama has the No1 kicker lined up to bad he's not there this year.
Look back at the way Oregon's been getting ranked threw the year, and then look at Alabama's ranking threw the year.
Did Alabama ever fall to 10th and yoyo back and forth...no and don't look for Oregon to jump Alabama now.
The Iron Bowl is one of the best hyped games in college football all Alabama has to do is beat Auburn convinceing no matter Auburns rank. It will be impressive and enough to have an Alabama vs LSU rematch.
Plus Alabama has the Heisman hopeful Trent Richardson, not Oregon...

I bet you and Les Miles feels the same way.

Alabama got not one, but TWO gifts from Jarret Lee in ALABAMA TERRITORY and still lost.
Why on earth would anyone on the LSU side be afraid to play the plaid hicks?
You watched the game didn't you, that would answer you're question.
I know you like LSU i respect that you have an opinion and so do i.
Them hicks will not lose next time you will see, and Les Miles knows this because he seen his team could not do anything against the Alabama defense, why should things change...
I also see no LSU fans want this rematch either, wonder why.
It can't be because LSU could not beat them in regulation could it.
Oregon got beat in regulation, by LSU and lost by what 12 or 13 without looking it up.
There's no way Oregon will get a rematch over Alabama.

I have believed it for awhile and they won at Bama in the biggest game ever in Ttown, at night.. Playing a home game in the French quarter and in the dome, it will be their home field. Be careful what you wish for, I know Bama wants to be in the NC game as any team does… But LSU is pretty damn good

AJ ain't getting no better, in fact he looks worse now in each game. That offense with Mcelwain is just not good enough and the first thing was said tonight by fans outside of the SEC, "God damn I don't want to see Mccaron again against that defense."

McCarron did okay playing LSU for a 1st year QB, he only had one interception and moved the ball fairly good. Hanks was the one that threw the game out the window more then McCarron with his interception.
Saban should have never tried making a QB out of Hanks in such of an important game in close field goal range. Saban coached that game poorly...
I don't think it matters if people don't won't to see Alabama play LSU again if Alabama wins out they will be in the NCG.
LSU is what people should worry about they got Arkansas and maybe Georgia in the SEC Championship game.
And i know this is a long shot....real long shot...but..but, and i don't think Ole Miss could but...
Houston Nutt has been know to pull of an upset and you being a Florida fan you should know that better then most.
Point is there's allot of games left but Alabama is setting pretty with the weakest remaining two teams setting at No3 and now No2 come Sunday.
Oregon has to get by USC and their championship game with ?
The people who don't won't to see Alabama vs LSU again or haters and also know the outcome most likely will be different.

There is too much football to be played to assume there will be a LSU/Alabama rematch or who will be in the Title Game....What if LSU loses to Arkansas and Alabama loses to Auburn next week?...It could happen and then what???

I agree with you Lucan. LSU Alum here, and I do not want to play BAMA again. If these two teams play 10 games, BAMA would probably win 6 in TTown, in Death Valley, I would give LSU 6 wins. Neutral field including the Super Dome, 5 each. I do not think Saban would make the same mistakes this time around. These are the two best teams in the NCAA this year, but being a homer I would have much rather played OK State or Oregon. I feel those would easier wins (OK State, you suck). In fact, IF we get to the big game against someone other than BAMA, I would point out that ARKY and Georgia would be the tougher contests. I believe we can win out, but believing and achieving are two different things.
LUCAN, you're not at all worried of poll manipulation if Oregon destroys its next 3 opponents. The Southeast writers and coaches are the only voters that will not vote Oregon ahead of BAMA. Just my opinion, but I do not believe the media and coaches across the country would want an all-SEC NC Game.
Just my two cents, if we do get to play BAMA again, I just hope for a game befitting the NC. It still wouldn't be a blowout for either side, I would opt for the points.

Damn OK STATE, Why? How? All you had to do was win out and take a beat down from LSU. But no. Iowa State?
The day I start my week long Thanksgiving vacation, it starts like this.
Oh well, my team plays two games in the next six days. I gotta get another ticket for my wife for Arkansas next Friday. Everytime I don't go to that game they lose. Wife has a rule that started last year, If I go then she goes. We'll see, I'm working on it.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the OK State Lady BBall team and the university as a whole. Sad sad sad, especially with the holiday season upon us.
BOL of luck to all teams tomorrow and get home safely.
