I'm leaning Sparta but want your opinion, where is your writeup?

Hey Wahoo,

This is the only game all year long in any season where my heart will only let me bet one side.  Every other game, basketball or football, I can fade Sparty, even a MSU/Mich b-ball game, but not in football, my heart just won't allow it.  That being said, I also would not bet MSU if I didn't think they would cover, I would just lay off, and watch and root.  

I do think Sparty wins and covers on Saturday, not a real big bet for me, but I think U of M has some glaring weaknesses that can be exploited by this MSU team.  If MSU establishes their running game, which they did with relative ease last year, Sparty wins by DD's, again.  If not, then we've gotta rely on Cousins, and he has been very shaky this year, for some reason, but this would be a great spot for him to regain last year's touch.  If so, Cunningham could have a field day v.s that Michigan secondary.

That Michigan offense doesn't scare me.  It should, but for some reason, it doesn't.  Denard QB draw, Denard QB draw, Denard throw up a prayer, Denard QB draw, Denard throw up a prayer,.....etc, that shit ain't gonna work this week. Sure, Denard will make some plays, no doubt about it, but he's gonna take some hits, and this is the time of year when his hits start to take their toll and he starts to miss plays, and then series' with little injuries.  

I better stop, I could go on for days writing about this game.  The bye week for Sparty is a nice advantage, the introduction of the Nike "Combat uniforms" for MSU this week is a small advantage, and I think the cooling weather temps also favor MSU's style of play.  

Like I said, I could go on forever, but yes, I do think MSU should cover this Saturday, hope this was some help and good luck bro!!!

Because MSU shut down an even better Denard last year.. 86 yards on 21 carries.. 3 INT's..  17 pts..at home...

MSU D has only gotten better from last year.. front 7 should be able to contain Denard and if I was betting on UM, I'd be scared if I knew Denard had to win the game with his arm going against a very good secondary

and Maine, I doubt Neil would post because I asked him to, we haven't really chatted that much before and I'm not completely familiar with how is doing the past couple of years, I always tend to look at him for college basketball

combat uniforms dammit it's getting to the point we're gonna need a uniform site like there an injury sites....don't anyone steal my idea...ok go ahead and steal it, I get a free subscription though

bense got Mich +3.5 (-115) early...so we'll pull for Sparty to win with late FG, BOL this week

DynastyOne - Yes, I said a "small" advantage, and remember these are 18-22 year olds, a new uniform could rev them up big time.  I played college ball at a small school for 2 years, and we sucked (won 5 games in two years), but we had a black-on-black uniforms we wore once a year and went 2-0 wearing those.  There's something about feeling good, it makes ya play good.  

Boom - MSU won't stop it completely, there's only a handful of teams in the country that could do that and MSU ain't one of them.  But last year, if you recall, these teams were both 5-0 when they played, both in the Top 20 (I think) and Michigan and Denard had looked absolutely unstoppable, more powerful than this season's offense.  Sparty shut last year's offense down and I think they can do it this year, at least enough to win the game.  Don't get me wrong, Denard will make plays and Michigan will score points, I just think MSU will make enough stops and Denard TO's for a Sparty victory.

Maine - Good to hear you're on board.  I'm surrounded by Michigan homers at work and they're the "real U of M homers."  Don't know if you've ever met one of those, but they're the guys saying "Denard could cure cancer," "F JoePa, Brady Hoke is a legend," "Michigan would crush Bama," ......etc.  Anyway, there is one knowledgeable dude among the bunch and he told me MSU probably runs away with this game,  to that!!!!

Nos - You got a nice line there, can't really blame ya for hitting that.  I think a Sparty 3-pt victory would make a lot of people happy around here.

I am Michigan fan I think they will lose but they are bit diffrent then last yr. Really starts with the coaching staff. The 2nd half adjustments have been much better this yr. I am saying Mich st in a close one.

Love the over in this game as well. Have to think Michian gets their fair share of points and i think the Michigan D stinks depite the way they have performed this year. Spartans should win this 31-24 or something along those lines- hoping so anyway!!
