To the guys who will stick with me (you know who you are above), we will do better next week. I will likely pick out one game (it won't be Purdue trust me on that).
I know my mistakes:
Mistake #1- I trusted Purdue (BIG mistake).
Mistake #2- I trusted this kid Rypien and the Boise D. Still can't believe Wyoming won but I tip my hat to them. And the Wyoming backers. I will remember this one for a long time. Still in awe this was an outright loss. Purdue giving up 62? Believe it or not that is not even comparable to Wyoming's outright win.
The WORST part about all this is that I was going to fade Boise BIG TIME, at Air Force in the final game (as they play lowly SJ State, Hawaii and UNLV in the next three), but now that angle is ruined as they will not enter that game perfect.
This kid Rypien is flat-footed and looks at his targets far too long. Beautiful passer though. Pure spiral and hits guys right on the hands. On target often. But he moves like Hackenberg, in slow motion. Flat-footed. Talented kid but when Wyoming's D handles you, you have issues. Can't believe they 7-0 coming in. Did I ever get duped.
Did you see how he coached against a third stringer against Nevada who didn't PUNT for almost THREE quarters??? Not too good.
