Fact is, Georgia SHOULD dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.(doesn't mean they will) They are just as fast, if not faster than Boise St. I am tired of all the Boise St. fanboys on here. If they played in any big conferance they would go 7-4 on a regular basis.(still good but not National Championship caliber) Where Boise St. shines is COACHING. They are one of the most disciplined teams i have ever seen. Especially when given lots of time to prepare. Georgia teams are just the opposite, at least since Mark Richt has been coaching. Undisciplend, sloppy, and underacheiving. Virg. Tech was the same type team. As much as i like Coach Beamer, his teams are not well coached(except special teams) I think the Bulldogs win as they should be focused. They have more talent and athleticism. Boise will hang around and even make it an exciting game because of their coaching, but in the end the Bulldogs SHOULD win. I am not betting it because of the coaching wildcard. Better to sit back, watch and enjoy!
Good luck with whatever side you bet!

Excellent 29th post Blowout!!! I agree with every single thing you say, and being a pretty big Chokies fan, including your comment about Frank Beamer. He might be the worst big game coach in the history of college football, and even his special teams are not very special lately. He is the anti-Chris Peterson.
Everything you said I have said repeatedly on this board. Yes, Georgia has superior talent. Yes they should win. Yes, the game should not really be that close. Yes, this will be the best defense Kellen Moore has ever faced in his entire collegate career. And yes, Boise has a coaching advantage.
The question is will a coaching advantage and an excellent senior quarterback who typically doesn't make mistakes going to be enough to overcome the large disparity in talent. I personally don't think so.
What we have here is a solid SEC team with superior talent playing a defacto home game and getting 3 points. Under those circumstances how can any bettor with a football IQ in access that of a lugnut put their money on Boise? The answer: ESPN. And if by some miracle Boise wins this game, ESPN will propose on the spot.
In sum, there is absolutely no value whatsoever in playing Boise . . . none. Either play Georgia, or as you are doing, move on to another game you are more comfortable with. But whatever you do, don't bet on Boise!!!
Again, great job blowout, and best of luck to you this season bro.

You forgot to add the part about Boise winning the national championship.

Thanks- i agree with you as well- i have been successful betting football for 17 years now. It is my specialty- baseball is such a grind - I will probably be betting Georgia but think the line will move even more in our favor- Good luck to you this year! Let's make some $$$!!
KittyKatz- What is your reasoning behind your pick? I'm not beyond betting on any team- If you have any insights that are useful they will be appreciated. If you are betting Boise St. based on last year's game against Virg. Tech, then i think you are clearly misguided.

Let's see if I understand KK correctly.
The line on last season's Boise game was somewhere between 1.5 and 3 depending on when and where you bet it. I had it at 3 and pushed. Based on KK's proclamation that he won his bet, I will assume he got it at -1.5 which means he won his bet by, at most, a whopping point and a half. Of course it took VT completely self-destructing in the 1st quarter, and the refs gift-wrapping 44 yards of field position on Boise's game-winning drive to come away with this rather convincing cover.
So now Boise is laying 3 points to an even more talented team, and based solely on the incredible fortuitous cover they had against VT last season, he's placing his biggest bet of the college football season on Boise. KK's 10-star College Football Play of the Year if you will!!! That is what you are saying right KK?
That deserves at least 3 rolly heads.
KK is the guy who has never done anything but lose money gambling and will tell everyone he hits 75% and does this for a living. If he is not completely broke after week 1, he will be by week 3. Boise is the biggest sucker bet of week 1.

My props goes out to "The Freak". That man does his homework. and provide information to backup his statements. I'm an "SEC" Die Hard Supporter. Someone mention in another thread that B-State was being disrespected. If anyone is being disrespected it's GA. Underdogs in their first game of the season, and playing at home. B-State's lucky they are playing in a dome. They should have scheduled the game outside in the heat.
Don't forget Mark Richt, who's slready on the hot seat really need this win, while having to play South Car the following week. GA can't afford two losses in a row to start the season. However they need to beat B-State to start off the season in a positive way. If B-State has a chance of being in the national championship picture, they can't lose to GA. Their season would be over.
My final point is, The Freak stated earlier that Ga's Def is the best Kellen Moore has ever faced in his college career. If's that's the case B-State really is in trouble.

I don't think there's much doubt that UGA has the more athletic team in this matchup. The bigger question for me is, what has Richt done with that talent? Someone much earlier in this conversation stated that UGA has had great recruiting years, and that may be so. I just want to make the distinction, though, between talent and skill. I'm sure the UGA guys run faster and can press more weight that Boise St, as an SEC team usually can, and that's talent. The skill seems to be lacking, though, because it doesn't seem that athleticism is put to its best use on the field. If it had been, UGA wouldn't have been 6-7 last year
I don't see this team making a quantum leap from last year....when they lost to a truly bad Colorado team. I also read on the USA Today page that at least one of those huge offensive linemen for Georgia was a huge defensive lineman last year, and that's not an easy switch. I saw Boise last year vs. Utah in person, and they didn't win that game based on big plays. Kellen Moore picked the Utah secondary apart and a couple of trick plays kept the Utes off balance. I'm thinking something simliar will happen in Atlanta, but the margin won't be as great.
Boise to cover.
