Agree with those rankings. Hate it for UGA as I believe they are one of the 4 best teams and deserve to be in the final 4. However, as long as OU is the team that displaces them, that's not totally bad. Kinda feel like it should be Bama vs ND and Clemson vs. OU tho, think ND is the worst team of the 4.

I agree. I actually think it is kind of easy, despite all of the noise. UGA had their chance tonight, and they didn't get it done. With OU winning an avenging their only loss, that 20 point LSU loss looms very large. OSU couldve won 100-0 tonight and would not have deserved to be in in my opinion. Their body of work is just garbage. I do wish they would force ND to affiliate, similar to what they've done in basketball. It technically should have prob been Clemson vs ND tonight. With OSU's horrible resume and how things shook out today, I think the selections are pretty cut and dry. (obviously I'm not a fan of expansion) Personally, I've always said they should've kept the BCS and let it decide the 4 best teams, name me a time when the BCS got the top 4 wrong. If UGA jumped in, I wouldn't be mad bcz they are clearly one of the 4 best, but most of the country would be up in arms. However, if OSU somehow jumps OU or UGA, that is a load of sh**. They get waaaayy to much credit for spanking a vastly overrated Mich team (that really should have lost to this NW team) I also think ND should be #4 as they are clearly the most desirable opponent of the contenders.

I would love to see OU sneak in. Major bet against potential there.

Definitely time to expand. We all know it's coming. The old system was far better, but whatever.
Bama and Clemson are miles ahead...no doubt. I think Clemson may be the team to beat.

Ditto. Could be a rare opportunity. OU points will be matched, no matter who they play.

They got it pretty close to where they want it.
Alabama - most of the Dirty South
Oklahoma - Texas and fly overs
Clemson - maybe some of the east, Nascar, and Dirty South stragglers
Notre Dame - parts of both East and West Cost
Forgot football stuff for a second, not at all surprised if they put Ohio St in. Demographics would be better, you won't lose Texas because they love football but you would pick up the East Coast. Ohio St has double the alumni that OU does, at least.

GrHeard a lot of "uga isn't even a conference champ" last night. Of course, Alabama almost wasn't either and nobody suggested they weren't in with a loss.

I have no dawg in this fight, but I have a hard time not noticing that Oklahoma finished the regular season by giving up 46 to Texas Tech, 47 to Ok State, 40 to Kansas (no, really; I checked; this actually happened), and 56 to WVU. As impressive as the OT win over Army is, I would note that Georgia played four games against teams ranked higher than any team OU played, winning two of them, and damn near winning a third.

Could a team with a great offense not be the best team in the nation?
They totally could be; and, I think it's fair to note that a team that scores all the time is likely to give up more than a team that grinds out drives, because it is going to have to play a lot more defense after all of the kicking off and stuff. It's not like we're talking about any bad teams here. We wouldn't be talking about them if they were. I'm just a "body of work" guy, and I just don't see OU having a better one than UGa (or Ohio State, for that mater, and I hate Ohio State). What's the best win, Texas? Meh. OT against Army? Life and death with Texas Tech and OK State? Just not feeling it. That said, they'll be in the playoff, so I guess I had better start feeling it. Of course, the fly in the ointment is ND, who nobody thinks is one of the best 4 teams in the country. ND especially bugs me because they played one real road game all year - at VPI. The others were either neutral site (Navy in San Diego) or essentially split crowd (Northwestern, USC, Wake). Nice work if you can get it.
