This is the beautiful and ugly aspects of message boards all rolled into one thread.

Anyways ... my thoughts:

Watson is a great talent, really good QB.

Clemson did NOT control that game from start to finish. The outcome was in doubt the whole way. Anyone who says they "dominated" that game is a Clemson fan.

UNC got screwed on the offsides call at the end. They would have had at least a chance to tie it and win in OT.

Bama is unreal good in the front seven and running the football. Average at QB and pretty good secondary. Reality is when they face competent spread offenses it's more of a struggle for them. Both Clemson and OU are more than competent. Either against Bama would be a classic NC game. MSU could beat Bama if Cook plays really well.

OU vs Clemson should be a fantastic game to watch, also a classic.

Boom - appreciate your comments about Baylor. Obviously I'm inclined to agree with you. With a healthy Seth Russell we don't lose the OU game and sure as hell don't lose to TCU. UT game is a joke ... playing a WR and RB at QB almost the entire game.

If Russell had stayed healthy all season, I believe we'd be undefeated and in OU's spot. Not sure we would beat Clemson, but that game probably is in Dallas, so that would have helped.

Anyway, appreciate it.

Hey Boom just wanted to say congratulations on a great season! I skipped through a lot of your thread to avoid all the arguments and personal attacks of immature folks who disagree with your opinions so I apologize if you already answered this question. Being a firm Clemson supporter are you going to hammer Clemson +4 against Oklahoma? Oklahoma scares me I think they might be peaking but I wouldn't take them laying more than 1. Also I am an avid SEC fan and a Vol For Life and I don't see Bama beating OK or Clemson... I think Bama secondary is weak and this plays to the strengths of mobile quarterbacks and pass heavy offenses... Also I think Spartys defense is very strong holding Iowa the way they did... Iowa hung 40 on Northwesterns D and I'm considering a play on Mich st when the line goes above 10. I think these teams are pretty evenly matched providing a lot of value in MSU. Thoughts?

OK gentlemen.... here we go.

I am going to do something  I would never do, as a matter of fact... I have never done.


 I WILL MAKE A PLAY....SOME TYPE OF PLAY ON EVERY BOWL GAME, WHETHER IT'S A SIDE Or TOTAL....A PLAY ON EVERY BOWL GAME.

Here are a few things you need to know:

1) Since this is my last thread on covers ( don't worry, im still gonna post in a select few threads from time to time...just never any threads like these anymore... ) I will make a play on every Bowl game.

2) I almost never make early plays in bowl season...it's called experience... LOL, I know better. ( I will make one exception to that in my Clemson pick ) So expect every play to be the day of or 2 to 3 days before at the earliest.

3) Betting Bowl games is almost like throwing darts at a dart board. Any " sucker " can arrogantly look at you and say, I do great in bowl season every year...cause I know these teams. Garbage..... it's bowl season...LOL anybody with betting these games no better. The only games you can truly pin point are the major games. They are taken seriously or almost on another level...hence the new years 6 bowls . I think those can be looked at differently. But please don't tell me you know more about this team or that team at the youmommagotaflattire bowl. Cause it's simply not true. We/you/I have no idea what motivates these kids at bowl games.

I want to say thanks. I know all of us are here on this site for some reason or another selfishly....and I understand that, hey....it's a gambling forum. But my time here was enjoyed. I truly enjoyed what I was doing here. Something got lost along the way but nevertheless, I really enjoyed it.

My goal here at covers was to never make you a rich man. I have said that many times over that money really means nothing to me. I love life, I love what it brings at times...the ups the downs, the whole thing.....I love the process of things. I think struggling/bleeding/relentlessness is what makes a man strong. It makes you better. And college football has always been something close to my heart. I love it....365 days a year love it. My time here at covers was to help others understand this game a little bit better....understand what you were seeing on the field when you were watching it. I always use to tell people, throw away those numbers!!! Use your eyes, they will never lie to you....train your eyes, it's the greatest tool you have! I wanted for people to love this game first and foremost...and everything else...money etc. 2nd. Why you say? If you are truly invested into something like I have been all my life, you love it....you breathe it... it's apart of you. I have said over and over....money will come. I can make money, money is something that can never satisfy me. It's what you do along the way that's the real gold mine.... Spending time with your kids/family. Those are the things that matter....not money. I never EVER would want my legacy to left as a rich man....but a great man, who did great things with the time he had. So people ask me at times, what can I do to take the next step in handicapping....it's easy. Love it first......



Enjoy this bowl season, I know I will....

Word Boom. Learned more in with a few select threads on covers this season than probably ever.. But i would't have learned shizzz if all i was concerned with was who is on a hot streak, better overall conferences, hypo match ups and trying to irritate and annoy people. I was telling a friend today it funny how these " sharps " make these lines....Cause I believe that there is the LINE..... then there is the sheep/perception Line. What is that you ask????  I'm glad you asked.

It's the Alabama line or the EsecPN has brainwashed you sheep lines.

Now with that being said I'm not telling you Alabama can't cover the 10... what im telling ya is that this line is completely absurdly embarrassing and down right dis respectful to a team like Michigan st.... I have this line @ Bama -4 at the smallest to -7 at the VERY most. The extra 5 points are so are the brainwashed.

No way should Bama be favored by any of the other 3 teams by 10


Here is MY lines for what they should be if the others were playing Bama.

Bama  -4.5 vs Sparty

Bama vs Clemson -3.5

Bama -3 vs Oklahoma

You ( and your servant Urban ) say you came on here to teach people football.  I asked you about certain coverages Clemson played just this weekend and I might as well been speaking Latin. You and Urban have NO IDEA what I was talking about which normally wouldn't mean a lot but since you claim to be the Pope of College Football it was time to show you know matter how smart you think you are there is always someone smarter. In this case ME , Gator etc . 

The LAST thing I did when I came to this thread was to expect an argument but as soon as I asked you a question you did not know the answer you felt better to try an insult me instead of saying good point I never thought of it that way or even I dont know.
