Van--great info for all the newer gamblers out there. I have a solid job that allows me to play for as much as I want and am not worried about the income one way or another, and it has really helped taking the emotion out for me as well. With that said, i have played poker and bet on 3 sports only(CFB, MLB, and NBA). I have had great success with the sports and mild success with poker, and considered trying it full time in order to concentrate on it and make better decisions.
However, I have a feeling it would change if I tried it for a living, so your commentary seems right on to me. Thanks for all the solid capping, and excellent advise for all of us, regardless of experience.

Current Record: Up 31 units, Down 32 units
So after 34 games, I am 1 unit down. Last year, I broke exactly even on bowl season, and it looks like it will be close to that this year. Maybe next year I will just take a 3 week vacation instead of dealing with this mess.......
National Championship:
35. Oregon ML (3 units)
I would be surprised if Oregon punts tonight.

any thoughts on the Over 73 Vanzack?
there could be 500 snaps tonight we these two fast-paced explosive offenses.
Over.

i hope im not annoying you, but do you have any thoughts on the NFL playoff games next weekend yet?
Not annoying at all.....
I took a position in Atlanta -1 -114 when it first came out, will probably sell it, but I do like them at that number so who knows.
I think you kind of have to take the ravens at 3.5. I think a cheap -3 is a fair number for the steelers, and in this kind of game, that half point is huge.
And I would take seattle (I had them back in October only getting 6 and they won outright at chicago) - 10 is too much, and I would probably take N.E. if the number creeps any lower.....
But overall - as usual with playoff lines - they are pretty close.
thanks van.

Good morning Van! I noticed you have McConahay , if I spelled that right, as your avitar. I am from Longview, Tx, and went to Pine Tree, and he went to Longview HS, and was a few years younger than me. I didnt know him until he was out of college and had only played in a couple of movies, but I used to play pool and drink beer at the hangout, "The Rusty Nail", and I used to play him in pool for 100 a game. He was cocky, but kool. Although, I was pretty cocky myself. If you have seen that movie with Cruise and Paul Newman, I cant remeber the name of movie right now, but anyway Matt would spin his pool stick like Cruise did <lol>. I only remember losing one game, but it was hard to play bc the women were all around fawning over him. Anyway, that was back in 1989, so I am sure he doesnt even remember me, and he sure has made something of himself as an actor from this small town of 100k.
I had a great day yesterday, lost 2 huge parlays by .5 on Nevada, but hit the three teamers bc I bought down to 6.5, but moving on. New day and a new dollar! I am leaning Oregon, especially 1st half, b4 Auburn adjusts at halftime, but tuff one 4 me to cap. Im just playing my average plays bc if this were just another day with plenty of games I wouldnt touch it! I was hoping you had this one picked and hoping you were thinking as I! BOL 2nite and have a great day VAN!
