You contradict yourself in the first 2 sentences, not sure which team you are talking about?
I am not contradicting myself. I was referring to the people in this thread saying Wisky was a trendy pick. I just don't think they will be outside of this thread. Everybody who doesn't have knowledge of spreads would say Oregon should win by more than a td. When the line opened at 5 it said all I needed to hear. I will be on Wisky.

Boise was 17 pt favorites last year over Utah and won 26-3
I bet on Boise last year. Its another beast this year. They are playing an extremely talented team.
Just bc I mention a team will always have an inflated line doesnt mean I wont look at them from time-to-time. Notre Dame, Bama and LSU usually have inflated lines, doesnt mean I didnt bang them all at separate times this year. Really just looking at this one bowl game.

I don't know how you guys feel that Wisky is a sexy pick here. Fuck I can ask around the bar right now and everybody will tell you Oregon would roll in this game. ESPN has fucking build them up to be a super team and the common joe thinks they are light years ahead of Wisky and to give up less than 7 well all the squares will take a bite of that action.
I think this is mainly directed at another poster, but....
I see that line on Wisconsin and I think 'Holy Shit, this is GOLD.' As a gambler you always have to question yourself when you are balls deep. I mean, how do you NOT take that line? Oregon cant stop a fucking leak, let alone a good qb and running game.
Now I doubt Wisconsin will be the publicly backed side here, though. Oregon gets by on name recognition alone and Wisconsin disappointed people a few too many times this year, imo. Oregon fresh off a game in the National Championship brings great attention - couple that with Fox putting that shit-show of a championship game on national tv last week and Oregon is the team everyone remembers.

Cal can play man on Texas with their eyes closed. They arent playing another Pac 12 team that runs a spread or some gimmick offense. Stopping the run? Another thing Cal can do well - again, they get an offense with a normal running game. Not the Oregon spread or the UCLA pistol business. This is going to be a walk in the park for Cal compared to what they normally see. Give them time to prepare for a team that doesnt have an offense? They get to throw in some new things themselves that Texas wont have tape on.
Texas wont be able to make enough stops. This is a Cal team that has faced tough defenses all season long. Really dont mind the Tedford/Brown matchup.

I wasn't saying bet on Boise because they covered last year.
Just food for thought

I know, its just you cant nitpick something like that. Certain teams are overvalued all season, they dont go 0-11 ATS, though. Teams cover when they are overvalued sometimes. Sometimes you have to pay a premium, but its worth it.
I am just trying to make an argument. I need to fill the space with something other than - yeah, i like asu.

Even though Sun Devils completely tanked down the stretch (lost 5 of their last 6 games), I think they are the more talented team here, and that they pull it together and play well. They should be able to get into the 30s against Boise's defense and that should be good enough to cover and possibly win outright.
ASU +14 and a small play on the ML.
Boise St. has only given up 30+ 7 times in the last 3 years, that is going to be tough sledding. Boise should be playing in a BCS bowl and that fact might be enough that ASU can keep it close enough for the cover. Don't blame you at all for a small ML play as we have seen bigger favorites go down this year, can ya hear me in OKLAHOMA!!!!

I'm in a confidence pool and have BYU for around 6 or 7. Would certainly change my pick to Tulsa just honestly don't know too much about these particular teams

How Come you like Tulsa RJ?

Think BYU is the most overrated piece of garbage in the bowls - Florida not withstanding. Tulsa came out a bit flat against Houston and Kinne and Co. should be hungry to end the season on a high note. BYU isnt as talented, at all.
There also is an awful sharp capper above you who likes it too.
You at least like NIU, right? I mean, that team is going to kick Arky St in the nuts.
