Buckeyes to National Championship game???

I don't know why I can't come up with a way to have a legitimate conference title game - maybe it's because it has nothing to do with me.  I don't know who makes and keeps the 12 team rule - but it's not me.

Personally, I would rather not see OSU in the big game if they are going to lose.  It was pretty hard to take that last year as a fan, an alumni, and a resident of Columbus (at the time). 

 Miami was a member of the BigEast not the ACC.

46and2, I maybe have gotten ahead of myself. If the certain teams lose and OSU is 1 or 2 in the BCS then by virtue of the BCS they are deserving. I should have said that I dont think the teams they have played this year are the calibur that measure a #1 team. Their schedule does not warrant a trip to the BCS championship in my eyes. But just like its not my choice its not your choice to choose the opponents you play.

sure they have played some bums (Minnesota!) but this year is evidence of how difficult it is to win out. I mean even Kansas had an opportunity to jump in and their opponents' record before MIzzou was 50-77.  Kansas got respect because they were undefeated, but they had a rather soft schedule as well.

I know people hate the Buckeyes just to hate them and I think its relatively healthy, but if this were any other team in America I would still say they deserve the shot (if Mizzou loses...if they win OSU has no business in the title game whatsoever) because despite what people say 11-1 in the Big-10 is pretty good. Just ask the voters who keep giving them respect for having a decent team with the #1 defense (statistically).

And to the guy above who says he would rather not see the Buckeyes in the title game if they are going to lose, that junior varsity attitude is what keeps most people at their dead end jobs all their miserable lives--they are afraid to lose.  I would rather see OSU lose every year in the title game if it meant they got there every year...why?  Because that means 117 teams below them did not.  Those 117 teams don't stand a chance because they aren't playing in the most important game of the year.

I pasted a comment about WVU v.s OSU in another thread and i agree. Below is the statement i made.

I cannot say it any different than that, again the Buckeyes overchieved lost at home to an unranked Illinois team at home. And if Oklahoma wins sat, oh boy i can say that WVU will run all over The Bucks, if the spread Offense that Illinois ran confused The Bucks what will the speed of WVU do? Ouch i can see another championship game like last year Blowout and WVU National Champions......(my family from West Virginia) so i still be happy.

Im sorry i didnt explain better, my opinion at the start of season was that OSU would lose atleast 3 games due to all the players going to the pros from last years team. And if u remember what the odds were for the Bucks to win the National Championship i believe it was somewhere around 25-1 (maybe wrong) so the so called experts thot they have a down year. The schedule was already set when the season started so my opinion is they overcheived they are not a #3 team in country maybe #10, there 11-1 when i personally thot they be atleast 9-3 so hope that expalins it better why i say overchieved.............

canes47 with all due respect, u can not even mention Hawaii if u hate weak schedules cmon now they have 1 of the weakest schedule in ncaa football. Overtime to La Tech and i believe o.t. to San Jose St.

Now if you want to say Georgia, Oregon, USC, LSU thats fine no problem there and as i said before Ohio State isnt that strong but i would say out of the top 4 teams u mentioned Ohio State wins 1 game. Im trying to be honest here.......No ROSE COLORED Glasses for me.........

Hmmm Washington would be a wash and Wisky would beat Fresno St and Boise St would beat Mich so its a wash. But my point is and its in ur post how u say you hate weak nonconference schedule (i agree) but then u mention Hawaii ( i like Hawaii) im just saying u cant have it both ways.

Again Ohio State just accept the Rose Bowl thats where the Big 10 champion usually goes to. They dont deserve the N.C. game. Ive said this time and time again, but somebody has to debate me with with the same arguments i have. Weak schedule, lost at home to Illinois.......
