K..Im in a college bowl pool, and im sitting pretty... im up by 9 points going into tonight.. the game tonight is worth 10... i took bama, and the guy 9 behind me took ND... so if ND wins, he wins, if bama wins, i take home the bacon. No spreads involved, its just whomever wins wins...First prize is 1200...Right now the ND moneyline is &#x2B;275, so i can cover myself pretty good by doing this :Put in a $300 moneyline bet on ND;  $300 to win $825 Doing that would guarantee me 900 (1200 - 300 from ND bet) if bama wins and 825 if ND wins.Now... I really think bama rolls in this game... so to cover my $300 bet, i could place a bet on bama to win the game... so if bama does win the game... i&#x27;d win the 900 from the pool (1200 - 300 bet) but then win $$ from the bamma bet... any math whizzes out there who can give me my best bet on this one?Thanks!

Ignore them, if $1200 is a lot of money to you, then hedge it $200 and make sure you are profiting for the bowl series. I agree that Bama should win, but there is nothing wrong with a hedge from time to time.

Teaser and LV3 would be hedging if it was a $1,000,000 win for them v. a $600,000 pay day v. $0! You can be sure of that.

Why not bet the 1200 on ND &#x2B; the points.....look at it like a 1200 free bet on ND if they cover but don&#x27;t win outright?..walk off with 2400$?&#xD;&#xA;Unless you need the money....then wait for an opportunity at halftime.
