I took Akron over 2 +115 for some fun bucks when BoL dropped their MAC RSWs ... You can see that Moorhead & Co maybe set up for some success, Phil saying they have 16 returning actual starters but then it looks like another 16 or so bold names among the backups ... idk how that jives with Bill C's 70% ret pro number but it looks like they got like 32 ret starters in the depth chart lol .. I mean if that's the case and they find a way to lose money on RSW 2 with FCS St. Francis on then just send them to division 5 already lol ..
And at least like the idea of Morehead running the offense, technically babysitting 3 brand new OCs .. and Tim Tibisar hire is interesting he had crazy accolades as Wisco LB's coach when Aranda was taking them from great to elite .. Not sure what to make of him being fired as DC at Oreg St late LY but I recall him turning out a decent LB corps a couple yrs ago w Hamilcar and that crew .. One of the advanced stat sites says they were 108 overall his 1st yr then 55 in yr 2 .. can't judge them on 2020 but it wasn't good .. but 50th LY at least in one of the adv stat universes .. idk maybe the guy is not a good DC but Zips can't be giving up 40/game for a 3rd yr in a row... right ... ? ..
Also think there's a legit wildcard with Albany xfer QB Jeff Undercuffler .. right in your backyard lol .. I'm def gunna check in on him closer to kickoff see what it sounds like .. I remember looking at the Danes going into that covid year and Cuff was off a huge 2019, Frosh AA all the big pre-ssn accolades .. Alb then got rocked by covid every way in that spring ssn, late start/early finish and think Cuff also got injured .. Albany then stunk in fall '21 and he was still fighting off his spring injury ... Big dude at 6-5, real under the radar grab .. Obvi not a sitch where we can say 'watch out for Akron!!!' if he gets the nod, no other real passers he's gotta compete against ..Irons seems every bit the definition of a dual threat .. New Coach, New QB, New Attitude, and 75 returning starters .. tough to hate the profile lol ..

Everything in Bridge's thread makes sense about the Miners ..Clearly this is a long shot wager ,but I think it's a live one ..My current numbers have UTEP at +1950 ( for what it's worth ...I don't plan on betting anything large outside of the MAC , this small investment provides the desired action I crave without much risk .

Word up dude yeah grabbed the Conf and the over 5.5 .. think you can still grab a 5 layin some odds but seems though for them to walk away w 4 wins this year and lose money on the 5 spot .. Tough to say UTEP will be much less than 10 pt dogs in the champ game but shouldn't burn the play too bad if they get there and we hedge .. Some news out of CUSA today .. Bill Clark OUT .. also pretty solid DL from UNT hit the portal KD Davis .. Eagles been falling into the portal all off ssn, tough to say they'll be the same up and comers they looked like late in the year ..
Back to MAC TALK ..
Taking a look at some roster depth looks like outside all the RS and true freshman .. Ourlads rosters aren't totally updated they might be missing some guys but wouldn't expect them to miss too many sophs and above and have alot of the new xfers in there ... I got C.Mich with alot of problem units but only 3 soph or above DB's .. taking a look at Phil I see the backups have a ton of true's and redshirts says nickle is converted LB .. could spell trouble .. .. Miami with only 18 sophs and up on D TOTAL .. says 9 starters return, lotta them are sophs .. and same story on offense, might be the youngest team in CFB this year .. Kent and Buff aren't in terrible shape but have a few soft spots, fairly short rosters .. Akron / BG look good .. Ohio looks in great shape either avg or way above at every pos group .. That side of the MAC could really get flipped on its ear this year if the big boys don't find some gems among their freshman .. I'd grab something on the Bobs but 8-1 is just not sexy enough for a post-spring roster depth play lol .. hope we see some 15's or 20's when other books release ..

I jumped on UTEP ML +104 today for 1 UNIT ($200) ....Suprised they're not the chalk over North Texas ..For what it's worth my numbers have the Miners -5.17...
I might jump on their RSW over when it's released here, but for now I'm thinking betting them weekly in key spots makes more sense .....

Points Bet just released all their G5 conf champions .. pretty lame for the most part but I saw Ohio 16-1 best odds I've seen .. they also got Buff 20-1 think that's a little higher than some of the other Mactions you'll see out there but not by much .. Miami really up there 3-1 / Kent 7-1 .. just too light for the MAC .. I was saying in my thread, you know the division is bad when the books finally give Miami the respect they deserve .. top of the division = must be super weak ..
I got the Bobs, Akron and BG .. hope one of them can squirm their way out of the East .. don't hate my chances ..

The East does look very weak at the Top ..I'd make Miami the chalk but I wouldn't be shocked if they finished 4th either.....
East WINNER might finish 4-4 in conference...Really like where Bowling Green catches some of their rivals at in the schedule....
Ohio can only be better, but I'm taking a pass although some decent prices are out there. ..

Ha Yeah Dude, UNREAL!!!! .. there were a ton of teams with at least some potential to make a run to the champ game w big odds drops so far .. So many ways the power rankings can be sideways again this year, besides the normal reasons which are so vast anyway there's excess on alot of the rosters, overflowing portal, teams with access to talent that they probably don't see over the course of 10 years ... I just thought up another reason today: recruiting services for 2021 class, least reliable in history? ... I'd bet there's quite a few 2 and 3 stars that look much better than they did senior year in 2020 ..... not to mention ALOT of teams had to skirt on the recruiting that year there's a bunch of real small classes .. trickle down recruitanomics workin overtime .. another irky jerky quirky covid ripple to throw the models off for us ..
