I feel like since Clemson is playing in the national championship game, I might be obligated to give my opinions one last time.
Before I get start.... I want to call myself out publicly and apologize to my buddy, doubleup4life..... I was a little drunk about a week ago when I said some stupid things and hey, I'm sorry bro. Everybody makes mistakes from time to time, right? I was not my normal self that night and just acted like a complete Jack-asss.... I hope you and everyone else can respect the fact that I'm owing that. Nothing else to say but....I'm sorry... and I hope you can forgive me.
Now the game..........
Clemson vs Alabama
What does Alabama do well? The real question is what don't they do well? This is a tremendous football team who has been what I think is the gold standard of college football for several years now. What most fans dont see is the improvement of the defense.....This is Saban's best defense EVER. But Why? Saban has understood that this game is changing....uhhhmmm... Who told ya the game was changing several years ago??? yeah, ya boy Boom...Saban has understood that it's not about the 260-270lb LB's anymore. It's about the guys who can play in space and cover. He has understood now that you may have to take a traditional safety and turn him into a LB. Plus the biggest thing he has added is the fast twitch DE who can rush the passer.
Alabama now has a defense that is great on ALL 3 levels and is deep....I have given Saban grief over the years due to the fact he couldn't adapt fast enough to what the game had evolved to. But he has now....and this is the best defense yet.
Offensively I still think it's a group that is good but not great. Henry is a great RB....but don't be surprised if he is taken out of this game. Overall if you're asking me to rate this offense, I'm going to be honest and say it's good...not great and on a scale from 1-10...about a 6.75.

The thing that drives me up the wall is the average poster in this forum doesn't understand what he/she is looking at. I see idiotic statements from time to time saying, Well, the ACC didn't do this so that means Clemson and FSU can't compete. HUH? Do you understand what talent looks like? Seriously?
Clemson is as deep as Alabama.....I know that just shocked half this crowd, but it's true. Ask your fellow bamers in here like Jimmydafreak...he knows
Clemson is 12 deep on the DL and in the trenches they are as good as any team in the country....probably as close to Alabama. For 3 weeks all I have heard on here was how Oklahoma would walk all over Clemson....LMAO. Do you guys believe now? I listened to the national " experts " talk about how Oklahoma would dominate up front and " smoke " the Clemson defense. Clemson ran for 321 yds to Oklahoma's 67.... I think the numbers speak for themselves. The fact that I read all the garbage in hear about how Clemson wasn't " worthy ".....What have you been watching? Are they worthy now? No excuses.....
What makes this team good, Boom? Everything
This defense is really good. The DL is DEEP and the secondary is deep with NFL talent. This is the best defense and talent Bama will see all year.....and vice versa, this is the best team Clemson will see all year.
The OL for Clemson is really good and just has been a meat grinder the last several games. They are a very solid group who is relentless. The thing is, teams know we are running the ball and there is nothing they can do about it. But if you're asking me what is the difference in this game, Boom? What is it? You know the answer....
We have Deshaun Watson, and you don't.
Clemson WILL win this game...... Upfront Clemson will completely harass Jake Coker ALL NIGHT LONG and will be the difference in this game. Most people believe this game is about Deshaun vs the Bama defense....but it's not people. It's about the Clemson DL completely and utterly harassing Coker all night forcing bad decisions.
