Anybody else think 14.5 could be a little rich here? Ga lost two best running backs combined for 1700 yds and 27 tds. His two best receivers. Yes,OL is very good supposedly. Lost three starters in secondary. Clem has 18 starters back. D supposed to be quite good. QB iffy.
My initial thought is a lot of hype re Ga. Possibly inflated? And I'm a Ga grad. Defenses tend to be ahead early on,etc...Thoughts?

Frankly, no. This game reminds me of the Georgia game a couple of years ago against Oregon. Everyone was hyping this up as something that was going to be close, that both teams were relatively even matched, and that three or 2 Touchdowns was way too much,
49-3

No. I said this game resembles the game between Georgia and oregon 2 years ago. Similar line. Similar situation. Georgia won that game 49-3. But I didn’t expect you to know that.
I never said or hinted that I would lay -35. I would lay -13.5

Sorry... misunderstood. No,I remember that azz whooping. Think that may have been Nixs first start after the transfer. Clemson won their last five with a nice come from behind clutch win over Kentucky in bowl. Klubnak apparently showed nice progression and has had a good camp,on numerous metrics. O should be better second season under new OC.

Someone I know who has seen some of the spring practices, told me that Klubnik looked awful for a junior QB. The fact that Clemson needed to come back against Kentucky in that crazy bowl game is a problem, that's the same Kentucky that lost 13-51 to Georgia last year. I know betting doesn't work like that and the situation was different, but some food for thought.
Rarely do you see a team like Georgia bring so many players back, including all the key coaches/coordinators, with the addition of an insane infusion of portal talent.

I just don't see how UGA gonna be so explosive first game losing eighty percent of rushing and receiving productivity. Regardless of talent stepping in. QB Beck has alienated some asking for $4 million NIL to come back this season...as he trucks around campus checking out the trim in his $270 k Lamborghini. UGA ats record not that hot.

The pointspreads are similar, but otherwise the games are not similar in the least. That game was Lanning's first ever as a head coach. And no one thinks these teams are evenly matched, although I don't think anyone thought UGA and Oregon were evenly, matched, either.
Until recently, I was thinking the line might be a point or two low, but now I think it might a point or two too high. Regardless, why worry about it when the best play by far is the under.

Clemson might not score. I know they will but couldn't let your comment go unchecked, just like UGA will put up 24+. Please hammer the under so I can tap into that game.
The word is "reload", Georgia has been doing it the last 4-5+ seasons.

I would take the 14 and a hook here. I actually think this will be sort of reminiscent of their match up a few years ago with no offensive TDs and a 10-3 final. It won't be that uneventful but I think this game will be close. 2 TDs+ should be pretty safe. I also think it stays way under the total of 49.

I will take the 14.5 here. Hell I may even tease it up a little higher. I don't know.... I think something is fishy here.... when the cards are on the line I would take the grit and determination of a Dabo coached team than a Kirby Smart team..... I do think that Clemson is a little out manned, BUT their strength is supposed to be Defense. If Dabo loses by 10 its very very respectable and a late score does that.

Georgia is a plug and play machine...Clemson has a big chip on its shoulders...I see a good game for a half...We will be introduced to Georgia's next batch of stars...Both teams will be motivated...Back in 2021, Georgia was a 3 point dog on a neutral site, and covered...I think Georgia is pissed off, about being left out of the playoff in 2023...My prediction Georgia 28 Clemson 10...I understand the total line is at 49...Perhaps an under play as well...

Good stuff. My initial gut was thinking market, public perception could possibly have UGA value inflated here. Esp down here in the SE( am actually in Ga). They lost an awful lot on O and thinking Beck might have the big head coming in. Asking for $4 mil for one year and trucking around in that Lambo,et all. I'm sure it's the Trim machine. KS is a fabulous coach, motivator yet I understand Dabo is feeling some heat. Perhaps Clemson surprises.
