They've lost the last two, how about you come back to this forum when they win the Bcs title game your team has embarrassed the big ten the last two seasons.

hmmm, I would think any Big 11 team would be happy to be in a BCS title game, in fact only one team has played in one, Ohio st, and they have been 3 times.

Godfather16, it really doesn't matter who you get, as long as OSU has to play teams from the SEC, the beatdown will continue. By the time Pryor graduates, the numbers will read something like 0-14 record against SEC teams in bowl games. I watched the replay of the thrashing LSU put on OSU the other day and it was amazing how bad OSU was outplayed and out coached. LSU physically dominated that game. The only posistive thing I'll say about OSU is there fans did show up after the game at Pat Obriens to pay there debt and were gracious losers. Good luck this year, you are going to need it.

pete, you know the OSU QB played like shit that game, maybe he played over his head last year, but he will be better this coming year. Give Pryor 1 year of "Tebow" like time and then he can start, he may be great. See how LSU does the next few years though, OK? It's kinda like 1 and done.

Also, Pete, if handicapping were so easy, guys like you would be millionaires, you could just say bet agianst OSU, bet against whomever, because this happened the last 20 years. The fact is this team has like 18 starters returning. They have several guys returning that would have been 1st round picks. Only Gholston left early and there are a lot of studs on the D=-line anyway. Yes they lost to LSU but it was far from a domination. A few breaks and it could have been a much different game. You can say that they were blown out by Florida , true, but they were not ready at all for that one, and they were a very good team that year. Anyway, just bet vs OSU every game next year, see how you end up, OK?

Ohio State = bad choice for a kid who wants to run the spread option. Makes no sense. If he didn't want to come to Oregon then at least go to Michigan. He eliminated UO and UM which both could use his talents and instead considered PSU and tOSU both of whom run donkey offenses. This is setting up to be one of the bigger busts I can recall. I am going to laugh my ass off in two years when he transfers because Sweatervest recruited somebody who could actually be a dropback passer and it becomes clear he is never gonna be THE guy.

ohio st tends to have better overall athletes and the O'line than Oregon, Mich, Penn st, the teams you mentioned. The guy has some friends that are playing BK and of course FB also, it's gonna be a good fit for him. OSU is gonna play some smashmouth running football, and of course nowadays you need to throw the ball also. OSU doesn't need the spread, but this guy may run some option, will be aboe to throw and run like Vick did, and hopefully can be smart and stay out of trouble. Now Michigan hiring a spread guy was dumb. Maybe he is a good coach, but anyways the spread offenses were the ones without the talent of the big schools and it's a gimmick. Mich has some talent generally. Although obviously not up to par with tOSU.

Gf16, Do you think OSU even wins the Big 10 this year? I don't. They won't win at Wisconsin, I can tell you that for sure. So that's one loss, and then at USC makes 2. So no BCS title game loss for OSU this year, SORRY.

Not a chance that Ohio St loses to Wisconsin this year. With the players they have returning they are probably the most talented team in the nation, along with USC. The question isn't whether or not tOSU wins the Big 10, because they should pretty easily, the only question is do they get back to the title game, and if so do they win? That remains to be seen, but I wouldn't bet against them.
As for the person who said Pryor was dumb for going to tOSU, that's ridiculous. I haven't heard any quotes of him saying he wants to run the spread offense, so maybe he would prefer learning a pro-style offense? Ohio St would prepare him much better for the NFL than Oregon, Michigan (under Rich Rod at least) or Penn St (and I'm a Penn St fan). Ohio St also probably has the best offensive line in the nation, which is always a very nice thing for a QB to have (just ask Tom Brady). Ohio St also sends more players to the pros than almost any other team, so I don't see any other choices that could have been better.
We'll see how Pryor is used this year, but if Boeckman struggles against USC I wouldn't be surprised to see Pryor used and possibly take the starting job. This kid is supposed to be the best player to come out of high school in a while.
I'm not a fan of Ohio St, but the amount of hate people have for this team is ridiculous. Okay they lost the past two title games, but at least they were good enough to get there. Like Godfather said, if you really think this team sucks just bet against them every week and see how much money you have by the end of the season.

guys that want to be 6th round draft picks in the NFL want to play in the spread offense. Basically the top QB's aren't running the spread, they are running the pro style offenses. There have been a lot of spread QB's flop in the NFL. By the way Troy Smith is gonna make a good QB in the NFL for someone, he did good late in the year and he has everything, other than size. But Doug Flutie wasn't a big guy and he was very good for a few years. Steve Young wasn't big either.

honestly OSU was the only obvious choice for pryor. They are the best the big 11 have to offer. Seriously. Penn Sate and Michigan? or The OSU. no big surprise. This should never have been an issue but you know some Dbags were pressuring him to go elsewhere. But reason won out. the obvious choice is tOSU. He will play for NCs there. running roughshod over no talent has beens FB powers. I hop some day to see michigan back but eh...who knows.
The kids wants to play in NC games. So tOSU is a no brainer. Now winning them? Nah I dont see it.

this guy has too much talent to be a bust. He may not live up to the hype, or if if he ends up staying in a crack house he may have problems, but if he stays out of trouble he'll be OK

Football 06, basketball 07, soccer 07, football 07, and now wrestling 08. I mean for God's sake, that is five in just the last 15 months. Its really getting out of hand. Either close the deal on one of these or get the fuck out of the way and let a real program do it. Jim Kelly is starting to blush.
