Derek Dooley to Tennessee

Dooley, 41, is 17-20 in three seasons at Louisiana Tech with a 12-12 record in the Western Athletic Conference. His Bulldogs went 8-5 and 5-3 in 2008 and won the Independence Bowl. Dooley has a law degree from Georgia and a bachelor's degree in government and foreign affairs from Virginia, where he played receiver. He took over the athletic director reins at Tech in March of 2008.

The son of legendary Georgia coach Vince Dooley, he came to LSU in 2000 with Saban as the Tigers' recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach through signing day of 2003. He was special teams coordinator and running backs coach from 2003-04. Dooley was tight ends coach with the Dolphins in 2005 and 2006 before taking the Tech job.

I hope this turn out ok...definately not the glorified name that recruits flock to.

That takes a lot of Wild Turkey to convince yourself that this is a good move. They just fell a couple of spots in the SEC.

Ecstatic. If you've read other post, I dont care about Kiffin. I care about the staff he's bringing. AS I'VE STATED, people outside the Trojan dont understand why we're thrilled, and I get why they don't. But we're familiar with him and the guys on his staff. Its a comfort level. if we only could have picked up Norm Chow too, that would have been the icing on the cake. Still wondering who he'll bring as the next OC.

So yes, I'm very excited. 2011 is the season I'm looking forward too.
