Every year, a game in week 1 presents us with this question. Is Holgorsen a bad HC? Or is Oklahoma that improved defensively?

This one is difficult. I normally would kill Dana Holgorsen for not having this talented offense more prepared. But this Sooner defense looks light years better than last year in containment and recognition. What do you think?

Since OU&#x27;s d gave up 40 points to KU and about that and more to every team, hard for them to not be better---with a new D co-ordinator and scheme and them being painfully aware of how bad they were...Houstons QB has missed some wide open throws for big gains and appears hopeless on deep throws, so the answer is, maybe.

I&#x27;m guessing you don&#x27;t follow the college game? As an NFL QB prospect, sure, he doesn&#x27;t fit that mold but he&#x27;s extremely dangerous at this level.The problem with this game early on is that Holgorsen was calling a stupid game and didn&#x27;t move him out of the pocket and attack the edges on Oklahoma. Once he stopped calling those dumb inside read option runs between the tackles, Houston&#x27;s offense got in sync.

Holgorsen is a terrible coach. Makes bad decisions week after week. Bad play calling..horrible clock management..good luck Houston !

I don&#x27;t like Holgorsen either, but what does that have to do with King? King is an awesome college QB regardless of coaching.

Holgerson was smart to leave WV...He was never going to win a ship in the B12...He probably had his best team last year and they were still mediocre and all his best players graduated...He would be fired in a year anyhow...Goes to Houston and buys himself another 3-4 years in a non power 5 conference..
