If that is the case,  then why did Alabama or Texas get in over Ohio State ?????

It's all about money -- the system has been corrupted.

Nick Saban --- "This is just one of those years where -- and there have been other years like this -- where somebody that may have been deserving got left out," Saban said on Sunday. "Florida State, certainly, going undefeated did everything they could to get into the playoffs. Unfortunately, probably because of the injury to their quarterback, are not going to have that opportunity."

That Somebody left out SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALABAMA who lost one game and barely won another against a shhhhittty Auburn team on a hail mary pass.

The bible would be right when it stated,  Money is the root of all evil

Using the Committees Logic,   The 4 best teams are ....

    Georgia

    Bama

    Texas

    Michigan

Phcuk Ohio State,  Washington and Florida State

Best way to fix this major league phcuk up is to get rid of the conference championships and immediately go to at least 16 team playoff,  give them 1 week off at the end of the season and then start a 4 week play off to get your champion.   End the bowl tradition and move on with it.   Money now controls this process.    End that now.

The only argument will be the seedings and what 17th ranked team got left out --- That's something we can live with.   This current situation is completely unfair.

To me its simple.. sucks they didnt get in

IF the commitee picked the 4 most DESERVING Teams it would be

    Mich/WASH/BAMA/FSU

If they pick the 4 best its

    MICH/WASH/TEXAS/BAMA

Unfair? YES for sure.. but still the 4 best

All you need to do is ask 1 question

    Who would Michigan rather play?

    FSU or BAMA?

Their reaction from michigan when they announced it says it all imo

Using the committees logic,   Georgia is better than Washington so Georgia should be one of the 4 teams

Georgia to me is the one that should be just as mad as FSU. Georgia is by far one of the best 4 teams in college football. How a team goes from 1 to 6 after a 3 point lose is a joke. Georgia would beat Washington's or Texas. The lets talk about Michigan do people think that offense in Michigan is good. They would also lose to Georgia. So the committee can say the put the best four teams in all they want. They are full of shit. If you want the best 4 teams in its Michigan Texas Bama and Georgia Washington does not belong. Thats going on there theory 4 best teams.

It's only fair to give playoff games to teams that have earned the spot, and not hold an undefeated team back because you don't think they are good enough with a key player injured. I am not an FSU homie but they earned a spot. I didn't know the playoff committee's duty was to cap the game and not let a team be in the playoff if the committee thought they would get beat. HA

So FSU will be playing with their 2nd string QB, not the 3rd string as they did in their conference championship game. The 2nd string QB will have 15 practices with the first team, not like the 4 he had before the Florida game. Mike Norvell, widely considered one of the best offensive minds in college football, would have a month to put together a scheme that fits the QB’s strengths and practice that scheme.

Knowing that, tell me how the FSU offense will perform in the playoffs. Tell me how many TDs the QB will throw or how many interceptions. We don’t know those answers because we can’t predict the future! Oh wait, there is someone that can predict the future, the committee!

Maybe we should ask the committee how to bet the upcoming games!

    What we know.

To get in, you will need the requirement of having that championship trophy as a collateral.  Georgia doesn't have it so they are out.

FL St has the requirement trophy but the committee needs a team that can take out cheating Michigan.  Who else has the requirement trophy that has a shot at this?  Bama that's who.

Those who have beaten the #1 team can beat the #2,#3,#4 ECT ECT.

The committee is scripting it to take out cheating Michigan.  Saban is retiring so they could be scripting it so he can go out with another trophy.  Whoever wins on the #1 or #4 side will take it all.  Washington beating Texas will make it easier for #1 or #4 to take it.  Texas, if going in will make the championship game that much more interesting.  Still though, whoever can beat bama can deserve the title since bama now holds Georgia's Spirit in the palm of their hand.  Georgia being out makes it easier for Mich tex Washington.  I do believe that if bama did not take out Georgia, Georgia will get their record repeat.  Maybe the committee don't want Georgia to do a 3 peat either.  Next year with more playoff teams, getting a 3 peat will likely be a never occurance in our life time.  The more teams you add, the odds goes higher for a 3 peat to start a dynasty.

Roll tides and I'm not a fan of bama but a fan of money.  Only bias I have is the future bama ticket that still has life.  Now how to hedge, I really don't know.  paint_help

Well..  Vegas seems to know..  Georgia -14 vs FSU...  14 points unacceptable for a final 4 team..  Would I lay 14...  Nope Georgia may come in flat.. And like FSU defense...  But QB2 in a playoff.. NADA...  Hence the 14... Proof in the pudding...IMO peace_5

Georgia would be favored over every team in the CFP

that doesn't mean they would win the game.

Michigan was favored by 8.5 over TCU last year, how that work out?

Guess it depends if Bowers and McConkey are healthy.  I think you are pretty close.  Guessing against Washington it would be higher.
