Fox's **New Years Eve Picks and Analysis**

We have a bunch of bowl games today and tmrw. Picks are below: BOL! Music City Bowl$500 NC State &#x2B;7.5I&#x27;ve got to take the points here with NC State. Although NC State has been very inconsistent at times this year, I&#x27;d like to think they will show up for this bowl game. This team is full of senior leadership and they want to go out on a winning note. The key for them in this game will be stopping the ground game of Vanderbilt and making Vandy throw the bowl more than it wants to. Rodgers doesn&#x27;t have the ability to make accurate downfield throws over and over. Vandy has won 6 straight to end the season, but against very easy opponents. Now I don&#x27;t like to dis credit teams for winning games, but I think that has to be mentioned. NC State ability to move the ball relies heavily on senior QB Mike Glennon. Expect a lot of short throws or screens to slow this Vandy pass rush down early. If NC states can somehow get a running game going that could be the difference as well. Vandy&#x27;s secondary is above average, but again mostly against some very weak competition. Ole Miss had their way with this secondary by utilizing the quick passing game, expect NC State to do the same thing. The Coaching change situation is a little different here, as NC State retained highly respected OC Bible and most of their staff. The the former coach left on good terms and most of the staff is still there. The offense shouldn&#x27;t be affected and the defense has enough leadship and seniors to avoid that distraction IMO. I&#x27;ve got a somewhat lower scoring game here, as I think the defensives have the advantage in this one. the second halfthings may open up, but I&#x27;m expecting a slow start. Vandy wins 27-24

Sun Bowl$2000 Georgia Tech &#x2B;7.5 **Max Bet**$500 Georgia Tech ML &#x2B;240If you have not learned by now, here&#x27;s your chance. This season has been a disaster for this USC team. Remember this is a team that had hopes of competing for a BCS National championship game, not a Bowl game against a 6-7 ACC team. USC doesn&#x27;t have Barkley in this one, and although Wittek will be good in years to come, hes not going to be consistent enough this game. Usually I would fade triple option teams, as they tend to be stopped when teams haven month to prepare for them. The thing is, this USC team doesn&#x27;t look like they care anymore. They aren&#x27;t disciplined and won&#x27;t be able to stop the triple option today IMO. I see GT running for a good 300 yards or more on the ground today. GT defense has shown some improvement in the last month but USC should be able to keep in somewhat close against a mediocre GT defense. USC better be efficient when they do have the ball, because GT is going to control the pace and time of possession with the triple option here. The one thing holding this USC team together was their leader Barkley. He&#x27;s not here to save the day, and afraid it&#x27;s going to be another disappointing loss for USC this afternoon. GT wins 38-27
