Jimmy, Countess getting hurt really hurts that defense! I dont know his situation yet? The dropoff in talent from him and avery was seen on that hitch and go for a td! Avery fell! Tge moment i saw countess out i was deflated! Denard is hurting us more than helpin us! On a good note defense looks to be in right spots all the time they just werent talented enough to make the plays against that ridiculous o line! I came to the conclusion that this bamas team is better than last years as far as talent! They may lose one game but it wont matter they will win sec!

I didn't realize that Countess left the game. I'm sure Nussmeyer probably recognized that, and called that hitch and go to DeAndrew White for that reason. White is blazing fast - Denard Robinson fast - so there really isn't really any recovering when he gets behind the defense.
One thing that a lot of cappers don't understand is how big of a factor depth is in winning games. We really saw that on display last season with both Alabama and LSU. Both teams are constantly sending sent waves of fresh, talented backups into the game, and they ultimately just physically wear down opponents.
Last season I laid around 2 TDs with LSU in the SEC championship game. I said that Georgia was talented enough to keep the game close for a while, but didn't have the depth to stay with LSU for 4 quarters. That's exactly how the game played out. You saw a lot of the same thing in the Michigan/Alabama game last night. Alabama constantly sent fresh bodies in throughout the game, and you could just feel Michigan starting to wear down after a while.
Alabama won't be quite as good defensively this season, but they will be much better on the offensive side of the ball. I agree that I think overall they will actually be better this season. If they lose a game it will depend upon who they lose to. If they lose to LSU again (and right now I really don't think that'll happen), then they could very well find themselves in the same position as last season.

I have SMU +10, but that line is no longer available to the general public. BM is currently showing SMU at +7.5. I still like it, but obviously I like +10 a whole lot better.

Are you saying you're down on SMU or are you still thinking? And if you're down at what line?
I already have SMU +10, but that line is no longer available. I don't want to post it as an official play at +7.5, even though I think +7.5 is probably still good. I will add SMU as an UDML @ +240 though.
Add:
SMU
UDML +240 @ Baylor

Jimmy, Maybe im an idiot but it seemed michigan receivers had a step on bamas defense but denard just couodnt get the throws there! Watching bama really reminded me of old michigan o lines when they averaged 300 and bullied teams around! Hoke is going to get their but we arent on bamas level till. Sugar Shane Morris gets here! He is our jesus! Good luck on ure plays! I took louisville and smu!

I do not have a Twitter. Several people in the past have suggested that I get a Twitter account, but I'm really not that interested. I use to have higher profile on Covers, but I have really tried to tone it down a few notches the last few years because it became much too much like a job, and it really sucked a lot of the joy out of it for me. Low key = less pressure = more enjoyment for me.
