You're old!!!
I pumped weights with Joey right after last season ended. He might be small, but he can still throw the weight up there. He put me to shame!!!

Weather notwithstanding, I think both defenses hold a significant advantage over both offenses. And in low-scoring games betting logic finds that you should usually side with the points. The exception would be a game like the Florida Atlantic/Alabama game where the game is low-scoring because one team is likely to not score at all. Obviously that is not the situation that confronts us in the VT/tOSU game. Here we have two teams that are fairly evenly matched where one is catching DD. Therefore, if we believe this game will be low-scoring - and I definitely think it will be - then playing on the DD dog is a no-brainer.
I think VT has a great shot to ride their nasty defense to a road victory.

I agree, but I can't get involved in the side of this game because of the intangibles, which are that this is a redemption game that the Longhorns have had circled all off season, not to mention they're the home team here. Other than that, I think BYU is the more mature team who is better positioned to win the game.
I played the first half UNDER in this game last season, and it got obliterated. I'm going back to the well again this season. IMO that is the best bet in this matchup.

Indeed.

I am supremely confident in the wager, but we are still dealing with road chalk here and we all know how that worked out for my Arizona and Wazzu plays. While I don't necessarily think this game is analogous to those two games, it is a factor that can't be entirely discounted.
My only other concern about this game - and it is a minor one - is that this is South Alabama's opening game, and Kent has had a week to correct their mistakes from week 1. I will note that we saw several teams that looked a bit shaky in their first game. If that is the case with USA, Kent could keep this game close for a little while. Ultimately, however, I think the superior pulls away at some point.

I never left because of haters.

I just spent about 30 minutes typing a big long message that I wanted everyone to read, but I hit a key on my keyboard that completely wiped the message out. I really don't feel like re-typing it all right now. At some point I will. Perhaps I'll lead off next week's thread with it.
