looking around, I see the public drooling over Virginia, off a bye week, almost beat nd, Miami is undisciplined, blah.. blah
. Blah
I look further...
I see a Miami team that rallied under a backup qb who will start today, and a coach who believes in his team.
Friday night under the lights, at the U..
Miami smokes the cavs by 10...
I have been trying to tell everyone all week that Miami is the play here... Lotta people are about to lose a lot of money... I will be taking Miami ML to the pay window. Already up for Saturday

I agree.... I wish I could remember the exact nugget, maybe somebody else knows... But teams ranked 20-25 who are underdogs vs unranked team are something like 0-22 ATS with something around 16 straightup losses... its a ridiculous trend but i know im not far off the correct numbers... Miami is the play

I'm a diehard Miami homer. Frustrating is an understatement on how this year has played out. I do bet on them frequently because I feel I have a good handle on the team. Sometimes it works and sometime I am overly biased. I am 3-2 with them so far this year. Won UF, Bethune, and VT 2nd half. Lost UNC and VT full game. I have watched every snap this year and can tell you there is no reasoning behind the Canes being favored for this game.
The Canes have the worst Oline in the FBS and are last in the nation in sacks allowed. UVA is ranked second nationally in sacks. There is zero discipline on this team (most penalized school in the country). The defense has been terrible this year thanks to our new DC and Manny Diaz not calling the plays. Also, Miami has a history of getting torched by mobile QBs. Miami's special teams is an absolute joke. Where is Miami emotionally after the Va Tech game Saturday? The 28-0 hole, big comeback, and disappointing loss. UVA coming off a bye and know a win here will be one step closer to winning the Coastal. I could go on and on to justify why UVA should be a favorite and should win and cover.
If someone wants to argue why Miami should be favored or will win this game I am all ears because I can't find it.
With all of that said, Miami has a lot of talented players. N'Kosi Perry can ball out, but he can also throw a million INTs. I like our chances with him a lot more than Jarren Williams behind center. In my opinion, UVA is not as good as a lot of people think they are (certainly better than Miami). Weird things happen on Friday nights as we have already witnessed this year. I found the following stat somewhere but have not been able to confirm, "Since 2015, ranked teams are 5-20 SU when they are an underdog playing against a team that isn't ranked."
I honestly think if UVA was favored I would have to bet them and it would be the smarter play. There is no reasoning for my pick other than I think this line stinks and Vegas wants you to make the "easy bet" by betting UVA. Again, I am biased so take this with a grain of salt.
I am on Miami -2 (-115) and TT over 22.5

Wouldn't you like the total over 43? I'm wondering why more people aren't on that?

Manimizer, I do like the over. I’m not sure why the line is only 43 which seems very low in my opinion. You’re talking about only needing a 24-20 game to hit the over.

My line is now Miami -3 begging for more action on VA this could be sucker bet central after watching the shit show of Miami last week.
"Fade what happened last week" is one of my more popular capping angles.. The U, squeezes out a win tonight. I don't know about laying -7.5 as the original poster did with plus odds but Miami gets the "w" tonight..
As for last week, I took the U for their 2nd half spread and when they converted that 2 point conversion, that pretty much gave the 2nd half U spread backers, the lock for the 2nd half spread win..
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

I usually love betting on unranked home favorites against ranked underdogs, but you guys realize this is Miami, right? They stink as favorites. Good luck.

Why over? Both teams doesn’t seem to have explosive offense. This might be another time wasting rush game
Between both teams this season, there's only been 1 game that didn't exceed 43 pts. All predictions I've seen have at least one of these teams scoring 30 pts. Both teams average approximately 31 pts and give up 21 pts. Miami's defense isn't great and they put up 20 against Florida who has the best scoring defense in the SEC. It may go under, but it looks like it should easily go over to me.

I’ve seen plenty of home dogs win on Friday but this doesn’t look like one to me, but I’m not crazy about Virginia either they are one of those teams I never can beat or win with I’m thinking we all probably have one of those. Pass
