Funny that People Still Think Wisconsin is Better Than TCU

I don't know what game you all were watching but TCU dominated that game. If the dumbasses actually had some real cleats they would have scored 3 more tds in this game.

Wisconsin wasn't even the best team in the Big10. Let's wait and see how tOSU performs before we cast off the Big10 as a joke. Wisky got lucky they had OSU at home or else we see OSU in the title game.

most people think the final score of a game is the final word on what happened in that game... i think it is a product of not knowing what you are watching when you are watching it... let's remember that a huge majority of the people on this forum are not football experts or handicappers... just gambling junkies...

you are absolutely correct that TCU dominated that game... TCU dictated from start to finish, and won (decisively) all 3 phases of the game... but there is really no point in debating it with people who only care about the final score and who covered the spread...

Completely agree TCU manhandled a "smashmouth" Wisconsin team.

I don't think anybody "dominated" the game. It was a good game, plain and simple. I think that TCU showed they are a great team and do belong with the big boys. Then again, I already though tthat going into the game. The problem APOC is this. I and many others simply said that we were pounding Whisky +3. Myself for example explained why I was taking Whisky. At the same time giving respect to TCU (as I have said, I am a big fan of TCU). I never said anything about the game being a mismatch of any kind. Maybe it is because I said whisky "LARGE" you took it as disrespectful. That was not the case. I LOVED Whisky getting points. You come out and say that myself (and many others) disrespect TCU and have no idea how good they really are. That is not the case. I knew they were not 3 points better than Wisconsin and I was correct. You tend go get on some sort of high horse about being smarter than everyone else and if their opinion is different from yours, they are stupid and just don't get it.

If you think TCU dominated, great, I respect that. I do not think they did. This does not make one person smarter than the other. It's just an opinion. You really need to chill out! Lastly, just so it's clear, your BIGGEST PLAY of the bowl season was Fresno St (loss) and TCU (loss). This doesn't make you stupid does it? I don't think it does. So why would someone who disagrees with you be "stupid".

By the way, the game worked out perfect for me. TCU got the win but not the cover. TCU finishes #2 in the polls and are very deserving of that rank.

So where exactly did TCU dominate?  I know I may not be the smartest person on the planet, but to me it looks like TCU dominated nothing.  They won because they got a few lucky breaks on the Ref's calls (that Pass INT on WI would ludicrous) and the WR Toon, who single handedly prevented WI from scoring 7 on their first drive instead of 3.

Wisconsin wanted to score and control the game. This is their goal for every game. They do not want to try throw the ball on 3rd and 7 while they are behind one or two scores.

TCU did not have a great offensive gameplan, but their coach is far too conservative. What would the score be if a different coach were there, and his team is up 8 points in the 4th quarter? Does he trust his defense to hold or does he get that last TD to go up 15? The fact TCU controlled the game is a sign of superiority, especially when you lost the yardage advantage.

It seemed to me TCU toyed with Wisconsin late and the last TD was a conceded score. A tying two pointer would have made for drama, but TCU with the ball in a tie score would have meant disaster for Wisconsin backers who had them at +2.5.

The score does not show the performance or tell how much TCU dominated--I felt Wisconsin would be stuck on 13 points. It took only great passing late by their QB to give them that last drive--that is why this was the best team they've had in the Rose Bowl--their passing game was up to the task of making crucial passes to bail them out. Wisconsin offense played well--AND IT DIDN'T MATTER.
