Kent State has a solid defense but their offense is pretty bad. Spencer Keith can't pass. Ryan Aplin is pretty good college quarterback who can pass and run.

they had to go through this last year, in which they lost the exact same bowl game. i think they'll be more equipped with handling the leave of their coach since they had to go through it last year. also, kent's state coach hazell is also purdue's new coach now. although he's staying, it could be a distraction since it'll be his last game. also, he might not be preparing his team as hard as he would of. he's also been trying to build his purdue team leading up to the bowl.
using the angle of conference beating another conference, mac is 2-0 vs sunbelt, sunbelt should get a revenge win here.
