I also believe the key for Georgia will be getting points on the board early which comes down to what you said about Murray. Bama battled back valiantly against TAMU, but in general Bama isn't built to come from behind. If Georgia struggles to put up points allowing Bama to stick to their gameplan, Bama will eventually pull away.
I don't think either team will be able to run the ball very well so I think it will come down to the quarterbacks. Murray is a flashy QB, but hasn't had success in big games. McCarron isn't flashy, but fills his role extremely well and has had a lot of success on the big stage. Maybe it's the homer in me, but I think Murray is due for his big moment. On the other hand, I could see the pressure of not having that big moment causing him to choke if he tries to force it.
We can say whatever we want before kickoff, but regardless I think this will be a great game to watch.
I agree with you that early in the game neither team will have success running the ball. I actually only see one senario where either team runs the ball very well. If AL gets a lead and is able to control the time of poession they will be able to run the ball in the 3rd and 4th Qtr. Other senarios GA getting lead, Tied, etc I don't see either team running the ball too well. GA entire offense all night will ride on the arm of Murray. Even with a lead they will have to throw to move the ball.

Cam2smitty, i respect your opinion but you are wrong. In the facet that was being discussed, pure talent, Yeldon is head and shoulders above the other three and lacy is second. Don't believe me, ask any draft analysis or nfl scout. They are drooling over Yeldon. As far as stats go, they may be even but if you take into account the amount of time those two were on the bench because of blowouts it hardly levels out. So you should probably check your shit as well bro.
And as far as neither teams backs not being an edge, you are wrong again sir. It's ALL about the running game. Georgia's run defense is pathetic! Bama will pound the rock and georgia's main goal will be trying to stop that. HUGE EDGE BAMA. On the other side, if Georgia can get a running game going that will be a huge EDGE for them, tho it will be quite a task for them.
So i don't know where your pulling this stuff from but id pick a better pile of crap next time son

Also, in case i misunderstood you. If you are referring to there.being no edge.stats wise, you are right according to your stats. But your stats lie. Bama's run game is their edge because Georgia's run d is so sloppy. You can't compare the two duos when the defenses they are facing are so different. Lacy/Yeldon will have MONSTER days against the weak run d. One of many reasons this Alabama team will beat Georgia

Well the two stats I said were in terms of carries so I don't see how the blow out comment is warranted. Obviously if either team has success running the ball that is an edge. My comment was that on paper there doesn't appear to be much of a difference.
I also think you underestimate Georgia's run defense. Georgia's front 7 contains 3 first round draft picks, similar to Alabama's in previous years. Yes they played poorly prior to the Florida game, it was obvious. I think the suspensions played a factor in the first 4 games and their return game vs UT, but they have really turned it around starting with that Florida game. Alabama is as talented across the OL as I've ever seen, but Georgia is also strong upfront. I expect Georgia to use Geathers and John Jenkins at the same time to try to neutralize this strength. Also keep an eye on OLB Jordan Jenkins who has worked his way into the starting lineup. He will be a great one.
I know I won't be able to convince you of what I'm saying, but I do know it will be a hell of a game.

Jimmy except my friend request. With your knowledge you have to have a tide sports account. If so what is your screen name? We read AL teams pretty much the same.

Don't have a Tide Sports account, but I know someone who does. I'm sure I could use that account to post if I needed to. I don't think he ever posts.

Surprises me you don't have an account. You have a great all around knowledge about the tide. From recruiting, coaches, current players etc. I pretty much read every article and post on that board. Lots of good stuff. I Pretty much know everything about every player and future player. Well roll tide and pray for JW, square, Dickson, to get some pass rush this weekend. Oh and tell Saban to bench sunseri and play HaHa!

I don't disagree that this will not be a walk in the park for AL. But a public dog is usually not a good recipe for being on the winning side. With being said I would tred lightly for whatever side you pick.

Sunseri is very assignment sound. He knows the scheme probably better than anyone on the team, but he is not an elite athlete like Haha. He is definitely a liability in pass coverage.
Saban has been increasing Haha's role every week. Sunseri is being phased out in some of the packages. When he's in there they like to blitz him off the edge because he does that really well. The problem is it is getting to where it is predictable when he's in the game.
Yes, a pass rush would really help take a lot of pressure off of the secondary.

UGA just simply does not have what it takes to win a game of this magnitude. Even if they had the game won or should win they will blow it at the end. It's in their coaches DNA

Georgia will be going real fast.......also, what's the latest on Saban taking the redshirt off of a receiver to play him for 2 games ? They must be really thin at receiver.

whynot? its time for the bulldogs... the have the most talent in nation...the is nothing special about this bama team... Last season they had it all... They had all the big names on defense... they had Trent R.........This year Georgia has all the big names on Defense... Senior Dt's , Senior Db's , 2nd best linebacker in the nation... Murry is the most eff qb rating.....Marshall and gurley with solid wr's outside tuff to stop.... They were over a td dog against the gators and won.... now over a TD against bama at a netural site.... Bama isnt covering this game.......They shouldnt win the game ...

All indications are that Chris Black will play. Keep in mind the only reason Black was slated to redshirt this season was because he suffered a pretty serious shoulder injury in the last scrimmage of the season. Had it not been for his injury, he would have been playing all season.
Black was an early enrollee, so I got to watch him extensively in the spring and fall. He was almost as impressive as Amari Cooper. In fact some of the observers I was with thought he was better. I disagree on the "better" part, but the point is that Black is one of the best receivers on a team that is absolutely loaded with receiver talent. I think he likely has NFL talent. The question is, how much of a factor can he be playing in his first college football game ever??? And not just any college football game, the SEC Championship Game.
Lastly, I spoke with someone just about a hour ago who has seen Black practice all week, and he said that Black "looks amazing." His words, not mine.
I have no bold predictions for Black in this game given the very difficult circumstances in which he'll play, but I will bet that he's not going to be a liability out there on Saturday.

What draft analyzer do you know?
I'm not an expert, but I could also write on a paper that Yeldon is good and ESPN would buy it.

Of course they'd buy it, they've seen him play lol. But unless you get paid by them i think they may value anothers opinion over yours (that not being mine).

I went back and was watching the A+M Bama game and noticed that McCarron was a total choke artist in that game. Picks missing open receivers making bad decisions etc. Question who is more likely to choke in SEC champ Murray or McCarron?

Blood, great point. I pose the questions to you, who you backing? It's hard to back Murray since he has a history of doing it where as McCarron has managed games really well. Im torn... I am leaning Murray based on McCarron's performance in that game. I also wasn't overly impressed with him vs LSU.... I may have just talked myself into backing ND in the NCG lol
