According to Steele, Vandy is forecasted to be favored in only 2 games, Hawaii and Elon, with a chance to upset Northern Illinois on the road...The other 9, they will get slaughtered...This is a must win for Vandy...and those guys will go to Hawaii for a business trip...and come away with a win and cover...

One thing I haven't seen addressed in this thread is the boast by the Vandy coach about a month ago that Vandy would soon be the top program in all of CF. Of course this is ludicrous and was laughed off by everyone accordingly. But I do think it goes to the mentality he's trying to establish in the program. It makes me think Vandy is going there to take care of business - and stomp on a Hawaii program basically in disarray. Of course they may not have the talent and/or coaching to do it or even win - but I think that coach is all business and you're going to get Vandy's best shot.
This is one of these times for their Head coach early in tenure, well you're either an SEC program or you're not.

Man don't worry about minor line fluctuations - this one will go back and forth between 6'/7' ... then as game approaches should go UP - maybe 9-10 by kick-off.
The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

Fwiw…Phil Steele has hawaii dead last this year in the MWC. Why? The Program could not be in more disarray. They lost half the program to the transfer portal. Only six Starters return. Quarterback is gone, top 2 running backs gone, top three receivers gone. Team is a dumpster fire. There is no way a first year coach is going to install his system, game 1 with so little to work with. Vandy at 7 is not at all unreasonable

The Rainbows are 11-1 ATS in home openers. I know different from past teams but just trying to explain some of that line movement. It might be a little much to say this is a “must have” for a team that’s projected to win 2 games and get abused on a weekly basis. They’re probably just excited to get a trip to the islands!
