And btw...yes Te'o is a top 10 defender in the country... I hope thats a joke. Maybe not top 10 athletically, but he will get top that physical level once he is in the NFL. Theres a bigger factor...football sense, smarts, he has all that plus more.... a football heart that you dont see like that in many players. This guy is easy top 5

hes not  the best linebacker let alone best defensive player.
hes a nice guy and hes from ND thats why hes there.

jarvis jones has 22.5 tackles for loss, Te'o has 7.
Jarvis Jones has 12.5 sacks. Te'o had 1.5.

lets not forget SC's Clowney set a school record for sacks (13), tackles for loss in a season (21 1-2) and sacks in a single game (4 1-2 vs Clemson)

Just an opinion but, if u read the mission statement of the Heisman Trust, nowhere in there says anything about the best stats or the best record at all! Some of the key highlighted attributes to a Heisman winner are leadership, honor, perseverance, integrity, being a role model, etc.

All these things to me say Manti.

Unfortunately, most voters probably see numbers...lol. If that's the case, Manziel hands down.

I'm rooting for Te'o though. Hands down class act!!!

Cherry picking the stats. Te'o forced 9 turnovers...9.

7 picks 2 fumbles.

7 ints 2nd best in FBS. Best for any linebacker in FBS.

By this logic Stephon Tuitt should be in this discussion 12 sacks and a 80 yard fumble TD return.

A first-team All-Big Ten Conference performer from Plano, Texas, Burkhead has been involved with numerous charitable efforts during his time at the University of Nebraska. Put a small bet on Te'o for chits and gigs because the odds are so nice. FYI Te'o wasn't supposed to win most of those other major awards that he already won either. ESPN guys were shocked the other night. Might get another shocker this weekend.

Manziel deserves it,but the old school voters,especially the media,will vote for teo because they are  Notre Shame homers. Klein didn't choke,he was never the same after his injured wrist.Either way.....this years winner will be a first.Either the first ever freshman will win it,or the first time an  all defensive player(charles woodson ran back kickoffs and punts) will win it.Teo is +1300,so the value is on him.

Te'o wasn't predicted to win the Lombardi or the Maxwell.
