Went way to heavy on Penix for Heisman and I'm gonna eat all of it. Had sprinkled late on Daniels and Nix but need to add more just to break even. My question is, if Nix beats Washington does he win the Heisman? Or if Oregon just barely wins does that matter?

votes should...SHOULD...happen this week and it wont matter Ore/Wash outcome.
that doesnt mean voters wont wait to see how it goes but that championship game shouldnt be taken into account.
this is going to be interesting as both Nix and Daniels backers have very good points. i'm kinda enjoying the suspense.
I have an 18-1 ticket on Daniels (and about 5 other dead tickets) that I'm rooting for and think he should win based off the eye test and stats, but I'm clearly biased.
I think Daniels mobility gives him the edge and all those amazing rushing yards/tds he has.
Nix is deserving as well so I wouldnt complain if he won.

It's Daniels and it's not close. On top of passing stats for both, Daniels has over 1000 rushing yards and Nix has less than 200. LSU's SOS much tougher than Oregon's (18th LSU vs 62nd Oregon.) Without Daniels, LSU is a 4-5 win team tops. At least Oregon has a defense that keeps them in games as well.

thanks for sharing your views. I have lost my Heisman bets 3 years now...it's almost comical. With mybookie it'll be too expensive to go with Nix with it being this close so I went in on Daniels. It's either he wins and a recoup or another "fail"...but I got in the black last weekend by the skin of my teeth so it's the house money at this point. (unless I get killed on the bowls).

it's not the house's money. it's YOUR money. dont be foolish with it. never ever chase. if you lose, you lose. dont try to win it back and make more bad bets

Only downside with Nix is Oregon has played NOBODY other than Washington who is a good team but has no defense and they lost that game...So what exactly is Nix's Heisman moment? Put up great numbers on a dominant team..but that's about it .....Pac 12 started off the season with all their ranked teams and then they became a mediocre conference...UCLA/Wazzu/USC/Utah were all suppose to be good teams and were ranked high...especially Utah and USC top10. I say give it to Marvin Harrison Jr.

Recency bias is so bad in these awards. At the end of the day penix and nix are playing this week. Jaylen isn’t. Whoever has the best game will win the award since JD will likely be forgotten due to recency bias
Until the wallet is full.

You know Bo Nix played at Auburn and was a mediocre.decent QB for them for 3 years vs SEC competition...Penix was decent at Indiana...Both teams/Players seem the be the success of mediocre conference/competition...

I feel penix has dropped in voter’s minds from non spectacular numbers in quite a few weeks I think to get them back he’d need a heisman like performance Saturday and a u dub win. That would be nice yearly numbers, 2 wins against oregon, and a pac 12 chip. that I think might put him over the hump.

penix was way better than "decent" at Indiana...... couldn't stay healthy
be interesting to see if he can win the heisman with an incredible performance Friday night....... maybe "yes" as then presumably Nix would drop out and Penix might pick up alot of "should be on a big winning team" voters.
I think 3 losses is ok for LSU/Daniels.... 4 or 5 losses I think would be pushing it.

2019 - 1394 Yards...
2020- 1645 Yards...
2021 - 939 Yards...
Injuries or not...He did not put up any good numbers. his 2022 passing yards with Washington is more than is 3 years combined at Indiana...Now I bet this has something to do with B10 Defense's vs the Pac 12 defenses's

Or the fact that he only played half of each of those seasons for a bad Indy program. I remember betting them a few times when he was there, only to see them tank after he got hurt.
