A ThunderRidge football assistant coach has been suspended for multiple games after an incident during a game last week.
Neither the school nor the district would comment extensively or release the coach’s name, terming it a personnel matter.
According to Randy Barber, public information officer for the Douglas County School District, the Grizzlies were playing rival Mountain Vista at Shea Stadium in Highlands Ranch. It occurred after a series of fumbles, he said. Barber also said the coach would miss at elast “a couple of games.”
Parents complained that an assistant coach was entirely too aggressive in attempting to motivate his players.
“We’re doing an investigation,” Barber said.
He and the district released the following statement:
Douglas County School District counts student safety as a top priority. (Monday), the district is investigating an incident involving a ThunderRidge High School football coach and a player. The incident took place Thursday evening during a football game between ThunderRidge and Mountain Vista High School. After a thorough inquiry, the district will take appropriate action.
ThunderRidge (4-1 overall, 1-0 in the Class 5A Continental League), which cracked The Denver Post big school media poll this week at No. 10, will be at home on Thursday against Chaparral at Shea Stadium.

Okay both teams are evenly matched. Solon returns 19 starters from last years team that beat Mentor at Mentor. Being that its at home for Solon in a rivalry game is huge. I would play half a unit on the ML if there was one as well

very strange line in my opinion...both teams undefeated except that mentor is ranked MUCH higher in the ohio polls...strength of schedule is a huge difference between these two teams. - gl
i would take the points, but would not play it for alot...the line is set for a reason

Staying away from the Texas games. I have never had too much success with the State of Texas. So much talent, hard to determine who will even win. But for those of you capping TEXAS games, remember that there is no mercy rule in TEXAS.

I just think that this is too much points. I dont think that Warren Harding will win the game but with a sl\oppy field tonight. I think it will keep the game closer than usual. Lets get the cash boys.

Dam shoudl of got this at -2 1/2 but my f-ing computer acted up and I had to restart it and by the time I got it back up the line was at 4 1/2. I still think that Daphne wins this game by double digits though. They are very good up front. Lets get that cash boys.

I really think that Ralston Valley will take this game over by themselves. By far a more supperior team that wants to show that they are one of the Big Boys in Colorado high school football this year. Lets get the cash boys.

I know guys usually no ton Texas ball but I have seen Pearland a couple of times this year and wanted to make a play on this game. Pearland's offense is young and somewhat inexperienced. Clear Creek is a also a very good team at home catching double digit points, I def think its worth a play. Lets get the cash boys.
