yep. it boggles my mind that wku is even showing up. I expected them to reject the invitation once they saw their opponent.

S. Alabama has a better record than W. Kentucky, but who the heck did they really beat? None of those teams were ranked. I would take the pts

You can definitely make an argument for taking the points but South Alabama did beat 4 bowl teams and lost at UCLA with a miracle last second drive. Whereas W. Kentucky is 3-3 versus bowl teams and lost at home to Troy while S. Alabama beat Troy at home (only actual comparable). So for what it is worth S. Alabama does appear to be the better team. What we all don't know is motivation and stupid mistakes. That can and often does determine the game.

 South Alabama has 2 losses. 1 pt to UCLA...AT UCLA, and Troy, another 2 loss team. S Alabama is solid.
