I am on Ohio State. But targeting and all of these bullshit reviews are ruining the game. I went to a baseball card show a few years ago. Lawrence Taylor and Jack Lambert were there. I asked them what they thought about the new rules (the player safety rules are in both college and NFL) and both were opposed to put it lightly. Like everything else in our society it has gotten softer. You cant hit a quarterback to high. You cant hit a quarterback to low. You cant land on a quarterback. It is ridiculous. If they are not careful they are going to ruin the game. A game that is meant to be physical. Watch an NFL game from the 1970s or 1980s. That is what football is supposed to be.

Excellent point of view and explanation. I completely agree and can barely watch college football anymore, let alone the NFL. Is it any surprise that all the NFL passing records are held by current players. It’s not a coincidence. I understand the need for more player safety, but they’ve taken it too far.

was a good hit. But sense its a qb hes out.
same thang in nfl 2-3wks ago when qb ran ball at half and didnt make it and tbey tackled him. They flaged him for unnecessary roughness. These refs are ruined the game for sure. Refs contol the game and that was jusy a horrible call

ask those guys when they are 56 years old because the average NFL life span is 55 years old.

watch a quarterback scrambling up the sideline today as opposed to years past. Today they just keep going and going and step out of bounds when a defender is near. Before you never saw that. I was watching a game and Eric Hipple got hit viciously. Showed him with a few of his teeth in his hand. No flag. And he didnt miss a snap

What happens when a running back or offensive player dives in head first ? What consequences to they face when a defensive player gets hurt from that result ?
Nothing , " he's a beast ! " Or "tell that LB to hit the weights !"
Bush league officiating and double standards when it comes to player safety lol . They should make these players sign death waivers then if it's so bad .
