texas has 4 and 5 star caliber players at every position...along with a desperate coach...ash probably won't play, and yes, hicks is a loss. I have also heard CB digs will not play as well.
this is far from a lock for iowa st. they would have a better to chance and win if texas was feel good about themselves. I can assure you they are not.
if texas plays 70% of its potential it will win and cover in this game, but that's a big if...
no play for me, but good luck...

you obviously know nothing about Texas, their rivalries, or their motivation...I encourage you not to no play a side in this game...other than 2010, texas has owned iowa st in this series (including ATS) and its not close)....
I don't bet on or against texas these days. there is too much variability. there are more predictable plays on the board, in my opinion...

and the "mack brown gets fired game" will not be iowa st, no matter how bad...
unlike kiffin, mack has actually won consistently at times at texas 2001--2009, 10 win seasons...plus he won conference and a national championship...he may be forced to resign at some point, but it won't be in an airport terminal and it won't be after iowa st. if it happens, it will either be after another embarrassing beat down from Oklahoma or the last game of the year against Baylor (probably another beat down).
mack has to go...that is a given...but he has done some great things for our program. he obviously does not want to go, but he may not have a choice. his legacy at texas and as a coach will be defined by how he exits the program. if he shows dignity in passing the torch, then we will continue to love him and thank him for what he did. however, if continues to be a whiney girl, then he will get forced out, and people will not embrace his legacy and will remember him for his failings...

Iowa State is just not a very good football team this year. Don't let their previous years teams mislead you on this one. The only way Texas does not cover is if they lose 3-4 turnovers deep in their own territory.Their signature win is Tulsa!! Don't overthink this one. I don't think ISU wins another game this year. I know everyone is aware of home dogs on Thursday night, but the Cyclones just don't have the guys to get this done, even against a below average Texas team . Not bashing your play, just my humble opinion

Texas wins, and covers the 8 pts....
Mack's got these guys going thru full pads, physical workouts on there off week...I think the days of coddling and entitlement are over in Austin...And being its a big TV game on Thursday, Mack has to show the nation that Texas is getting better every week...."BABY STEPS"
Also, playing for James "Jimmy" Street, who died this past Monday....best QB in Texas Football history....Never lost a game..
