 Rees....That's the unfortunate business of coachman changes..There will be some Washington Coaches and support staff that will not be retained by Debeor...They had a great season and u would think their jobs are safe and maybe even get raises...Same with Bama...Reach the Playoffs..then suddenly Saban retires...now majority if not all the Bama coaches have to find new jobs...

agree 1000%... i do think DeBoer is a genius but his 3 recruiting classes haven't been good at UW. 

apparently, that would be Lake's recruits as assistant to peterson. i'm told Lake largely gave up on recruiting once he was HC... not sure if this is true

 Even as spry a 72yo as Pete is, I doubt he'd wanna go back to that recruiting grind & dealing with the entitled brats these days.

The list I saw was a a bunch of really established ncaaf and.not coaches.

I personally like. "Outside the box" hire or Pete Carroll

UW used to be #3 in LA recruiting... Now, it's like #10 to #15 and it's a much worse talent base there than 30 years. Mostly speedster positions and qb.. Usc/ucla/Oregon and top 7 national programs dominate

Done really really well in Nevada and Arizona but not a big enough pool

Really gotta hit the entire country recruiting, but tough on so many levels..

Doubt it's that bad.. But definitely lots of similar.failures

 But an opportunity a guy can't pass up, I get that. Saban & Deboer have the same agent, so as soon as Saban retired the bells started going off.......& sure enough.....

What a shit show. DeBoer would have had all of Montlake eating out of the palm of his hand.  It's all about the cash, and I realize you get more for your buck in Alabama than Seattle. From what I understand Wa was offering !0 million a year. Don't know how many years it was for or any other details. Don't know what Bama is paying him either. Now the poor bastard is going into a juggernut where 9-3 will be looked upon as an absolute disaster. I truly wish him the best of luck. He's gonna need it, cause Bama fans will settle for nothing less than a final 4 appearance. And oh yeah, Will Rogers has now said no mas in Washington. I don't feel that's a big loss. Gonna be interesting to see where Husky football is in 9 months

 U blaming him for jumping ship when his stock will never be any higher. Washington will come back down to earth big time next season in the B10 let alone losing all there best players on offense. Expect a 7-5 type of season. There is a reason why recruiting matters and their recruiting has been subpar the last few years. They not reloading -that’s when u have 4-5 stars waiting in the wings... they going into a mini rebuild now with a new coach

 I agree with everything you said, including, unfortunately, Dawgs going 7-5. As a Husky fan, I'm hoping you're wrong. Big Ten not a concern other than Mich and Ohio St and the travel. We shall see. Only thing I was trying to convey was that going to Bama is like going to another planet. As I said, I wish him the best. God help him if he dare say go 8-4 and miss the playoffs
