San Diego State is probably my favorite play of the week despite the QB situation. If Christian Chapman can turn and hand the ball off, the Aztecs should be golden.

I'm fine with betting the Aztecs up to -6.5.

Adding:
Bowling Green -12 vs. Northern Illinois
I love Bowling Green here. I think this one has the potential to get ugly.

I use to use this strategy frequently in college basketball, but oddsmakers have gotten wise to it and don't offer ML wagers on games with fat lines anymore. I'm not sure where you're betting, but I don't see an Alabama ML available anywhere.
That said, your post does raise an interesting point. Most people look at betting the dog in a ML wager. The strategy you speak of shows how to profit from betting the heavy favorite.
Excellent post!!!

I was also eyeing the UNDER in this game. I honestly don't see how this gets any near 70 points. The total really doesn't seem to reflect Northern Illinois's QB conundrum.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

Interesting. Like I said, I do understand the concept, but have never actually researched the numbers. For example, I currently have the following 5-team parlay pending:
NCAA Basketball - Kentucky ML @ UCLA
NCAA Basketball - USC ML @ UC-Santa Barbara
NCAA Football - San Diego State ML vs. Air Force
NCAA Football - Bowling Green -12 vs. Northern Illinois
NCAA Football - NUI/BG UNDER 35 (1st Half)
