JoePa needs to step down immediately

Joe must go.

Joe Paterno must resign or be fired before Penn State plays Saturday. Today would be good.

Remember the outrage over trinkets for tattoos, the scandal that rocked Ohio State earlier this year?

That head coach is gone. Why is Joe Paterno still strapping on a whistle? And where was JoPa's whistle when defenseless young boys really needed it?

Paterno, his athletic director and the school's vice president all knew something horrible occurred involving former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, and they all let it slide. For a decade.

Why? The way it smells from here: The alleged predator was a beloved member of their beloved football program. Penn State's reputation would be dealt a horrible blow. Denial was the best option.

The silence allowed the alleged serial rapist of young boys to continue doing his bad stuff, right there at Penn State, for another nine-plus years. Sandusky had an office in the athletic building. In 2007, he brought a young boy to a Penn State football practice.

Paterno wants us to believe that an assistant coach came to him in 2002 and told of seeing unspecified "inappropriate conduct" (Paterno's words) between Sandusky and a young boy in the team's shower room.

Apparently Paterno did not ask the assistant, "Exactly what did you see?" What responsible person would not ask that question?

For not asking that question back in 2002, Paterno should be fired today.

Oh, the silence. Something very bad was happening. A janitor saw something, an assistant coach saw something, the AD and VP were notified. Police and the county district attorney and the state welfare department knew something was fishy. Paterno heard of "inappropriate conduct," yet kept whatever he knew within the building.

You have to say this about Joe Paterno and all those other folks in and around Linebacker U: They can keep a secret.

I agree with everything The Hawk just  said.

It is  beyond my  comprehension to  imagine that nobody called

Sandusky out.  

 Plausible deniability ??? Did they  really just  look past it and

convince themselves that nothing bad was happening with Sandusky and all these  kids hanging around him.  I  know its cool to bring a kid to the  ball game and help some  under priviledged kids and all, but there had to be  some signs.... But finally, when he is  caught in the act, it is hard to understand  how men of character (even  degenrate gamblers) could stand by and not call him out.  I think , if  PennSt had acted responsibly and  called Sandusky out at  first  whiff,  the institution and Paterno would not have been tainted,  only that  a  sick fuck could  live amongst us. 

 Now  Paterno, grad assist, Ath Dir, Finance Dir, campus police, University Pres  look like  the  sick  fucks. where was this  guys  wife anyway?

This Sandusky fella is not human.....i wish i could get my hands on this sorry a$$ piece of sh!t i would beat him to a bloody pulp.....he deserves to be killed......i seriously hope that when he goes to prison that the warden puts him in a cell and allows any inmate to go in that cell and beat him senseless every hour on the hour
