Who is going to score for Marshall and West Virginia did post there first shutout since i think 2005
They get back 7 starters on offense... their QB, a very good TE in Lee Smith and 4 of their top receivers from last year. Losing Darius Marshall hurts, but I think they have enough to get a couple of scores on the board.

In the first half when it was still a game Marshall had 3 first downs. They couldn't move the ball to save there life. And when they started on Ohio St. 29 yard line on the second drive they had a missed FG. They gave up 280 yards of rushing to what i would consider a balanced offense. 50 50 on run and pass for Ohio St.
Marshall coach can know everything about every player for WVU. He could even know what play they are going to run. The thing is they still need the players to be able to stop them.
But i will give the QB for Marshall a B- for his game last week. Yes he is talented but I think he needs better weapons and a better offensive line and i think tonight on national TV the weaknesses for them will be exposed.
Always respect your plays so don't think I am here to bash. Just trying to get an understanding of where you are coming from.

The question is fair enough... remember the scenario coming into this game:
1) a WVU shutout the week before.
2) Marshall getting whooped 45-7 at the Horseshoe
3) WVU having won the last four meetings in the Coal Bowl by 141-43 or an average of 35-11.
4) The line is currently at 12, opened at 13 and 80% on WVU
The Ohio State defense is superior to WVU's and again playing at the Horseshoe is a real disadvantage for any visiting team. Marshall was missing their starting MLB against the Buckeyes who they get back tonight. Marshall LB's are the strength of this defense. Pryor played more so in the pocket last week against Marshall and that can be viewed as a primer for the immobile Geno Smith.
All good and BOL with whatever you play.

This is public info that anyone can see on most sites and i saw this same stat, but do you truly believe this publicly posted stat is accurate and true? No book is required by law to post this information.

Yes. I do think so. Looking at four different sites:
WVU/MARSHALL
90/10
86/14
80/20
62/38
Fair enough and I wont argue this but let me point out a most recent game trying to compare apples to apples.
Auburn opened -3 supposedly 75% of public on ML and spread for Auburn but somehow this game line dropped to PK before kickoff. When i played Auburn i had -2 @-125 when i put it in on Monday. Final results was Auburn pushes the -3 and wins everything else.
Just don't know how 75% of public was on Auburn but yet the line dropped all day and finished at PK when i seen it before kickoff. Prime example of why i don't take to much value into this publicly posted information.

Yes the early action was all over Auburn... I saw it, thought the line was too easy but when it dropped to a pk I couldn't resist taking it considering Miss St was 1-11 SU in their last 12 SEC openers. As I recall however, the percentages on Auburn dropped to 60% as the movement on the line (2.5 points) I'm sure baited MSU backers.

depends on which of the 4 sites you reference. Vegasinsider showed 75% still on Auburn and they claim to have up to the minute stats.

Had no action on the game, but always check in on k's threads. i'd just like to say that i love the kind of talk backdoorcover was having, as opposed to the usual blind praise people throw out there. that's what it's about, and questioning and playing devil's advocate is infinitely more useful than backpatting. So thank you guys for both providing some insight into the %ages, and backdoorcover showed class coming back here after the game.
special k, great call on the game as well.
