Each school gets 17,000 tickets for the BCS National Championship game.
Of those 17,000, here is how it breaks down for Bama fans.
Ticket Limits for all post-season games
Faculty/Staff - 5% Limit of 2 (Faculty gets 850 tickets)
Lettermen - 10% Limit of 2 (Lettermen get 1700 tickets)
Students - 12% Limit of 1 (Students get 2040 tickets)
Tide Pride gets 73% of the allotment, which is 12,410 tickets.
Tide Pride Limits are determined by Tide Totals Priority Points below:
Point Range Limit Bowl Ticket Limit
3500 & up 8
900 - 3499 4
405 - 899 2
404 & below 2 (if available)
I would set the line at LSU -2.5 with a total of 40.

Put LSU or BAMA in any other major BCS conference this year and they win it easily!! So for this season your crying about BAMA not winning thoer conference just does not hold water. Jsut so happpens the 2 best are in the same division in the same conference this year. Get over the truth 'cause we aqll know the truth hurts!!
Bottom lone 2 best are in the BCS barring an LSU defeat nxt week(very unlikely)..
You're right you cannot blame Bama for the system. I was one of the Biggest anti rematch protestor. But when Okie State, OU, and Oregon all decided to lose within 20 hours of each the 2nd to last week of the regular season. They lost all rights to campaign for the NC spot. Okie State still has a little wiggle room for protesting...but Alabama all but shut the door on that with their Impressive outing against thier rivals today. The rematch is here and it is what it is. But I will be backing LSU heavily.
Pretty much what I was thinking except I think my total of 40 might be a little high. 38.5 sounds about right.

When this game was played a few weeks ago, Bama closed -6 at Pinnacle. While LSU won that contest, it was closely contested and Bama had their chances to cover that number.
In all honesty, not much has changed since then. Both Bama and LSU are clear-cut better than everyone else. Logically speaking, a shift to a neutral field would probably make this line Bama -2.5. With public perception of LSU at an all-time high though, this line probably opens at close to a PK.
However, would not be shocked at all to see Bama open as a favorite. No way do I see LSU -3 or -3.5 as some people are indicating, there just isn't going to be a 6 to 7 point swing from a few weeks ago. That's way too big of an adjustment, and sharps would absolutely pound Bama at +3 or +3.5.
